1. These are good basses. I had one for a while, only sold because I used my Yamaha TRB 6II more and that neck profile was more to my liking. As with other Yamahas, you will have a lot more bass for your buck than with other brads.
2. Probably a 5 or 6 string Ibanez SR, either Korean neck through or Japanese prestige bolt-ons. Or a Fender 4 string J or P, preferably CIJ if I can catch one. All used of course.
3. I have bought an EBS amp from Simon. It had to travel over Europe, but he packed it well and the amp is here in one piece and working nice! The transaction was very smooth despite the international logistics. So deal with Simon with confidence, anytime!
4. If this is your first time to own a 7 string, I'd recommend to buy a used Conklin, much easier to sell if 7 is not your world. I had a Conklin GT7 for a couple of years and I have to say that was one of my best sounding bass. (owned many spectors, yamahas, ibanez etc.) You can check how it sounds on the link below Although I did not use its full range it this song, you can get the idea how it sounds. I used only a EBS compressor and a EBS microbass DI for the recording https://soundcloud.com/bluevoodoo/minds-mirrors-counting-on-me Also this Conklin was the bass where I could reach the lowest action, tapping was incredibly easy and the nect was stable. I have no experience with other 7 string basses, but I do know Conklin GT7, hope my input helps.
5. Quite some interest lately but no takers yet. Still available. Sensible cash offers welcome. Also trades are ok, shot me a PM or reply on what you have, worst I can say is no thanks.
6. I've just received a wonderful Spector from Mark. It was packed well, the deal was smooth and I'm impressed. This is the beauty of being a bass player, to meet nice and trustworthy guys that share the same passion and deal with honesty.
7. I'd consider EBMM Stingrays 5 for trade, too. Preferably with maple board.
8. Yeah, I keep coming back to it, fortunately it is 35" and I swore years ago that I stick to 34".... Also good band, Haken, checked a couple of songs and I like them! GLWTS!
9. That Streamer 6 has 20mm string spacing at the bridge, right?
10. Thanks man! It's a great record and stood the test of time for me. Also Accident is a good record, too. I remember when this one came out, we all thought this is how Maiden should sound instead of the records they did that time with Blaze. Anyway, two more vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_91rZFUXXI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyWpQ5LzOdI
11. I recently sold a bass to ToolOfIgnorance. The deal was very swift, payment was made quickly and communication was fast all the way. It was a good transaction between two bass players who share a liking in Ibanez six string SRs. Deal with him with confidence!
12. Hey folks, I play bass in Chemical Wedding, a Hungarian tribute band that plays songs off from Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson's solo records, mosty Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding, but also from the others as well. We recently made a couple of videos at our Budapest gig that I think I'd share here, too. Please note that English is not our native language so be gentle about our singer's accent :-) My gear used here was: Ibanez SR3006, EBS Multicomp, EBS BS Drive and EBS Gorm 410 Let me know what you think! 13. This is a feeler for a possible sale of my Ibanez Sr1306 Custom bass from 1994, made in Japan. I bought it almost 3 years ago in the US as an impulse purchase due to my fondness of high-end Japaneese Soundgears and also to the fact that this is in very good condition despite the age. Apart from the dents here and there and some chips on the back of the headstock, this one is remarkably well for a almost 20 years old instrument. Sort of thought it to be a back-up of my other Ibanez SR six string (Sr3006) but that never fails me so no need to have a back-up whatsoever. I had a luthier do a full setup and replace the OBP as the original was a weaker point of the bass, but apart from occasionally getting it out of the case I do not play it. I’m not a collector type of a player, so if I do not use a bass, it should find a new home. Still this is the only one where I’m not sure of letting it go, as the condition, sound is excellent and I still love these six string SR’s. Anyway, price is 600 GBP / 720 EUR. Price includes used but useable HSC and shipping within the EU. (bass is in Hungary) Price is FIRM, if no buyers, I will keep, I would not find this much of a bass for this amount anyway J No trades please. Specs:

mahogany body with padauk top and back
wenge fingerboard, wenge/bubinga bolt-on neck
34” scale, 24 frets, 16,5 mm string spacing at the bridge, 11mm at the nut
9.5 lbs
original electronics replaced by one custom made by Zolkow Preamps (see diagram and freq. options below) Bass, treble, mid boost/cut
original pu’s in place as the sound clear, even and good
price includes used but useable HSC and shipping within the EU
I’m also selling an other Ibanez Prestige (SR1005) and a Sandberg California TM5, you can find the posts here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2266026 http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2241198 Thanks for watching. 14. Edit: I got the info from Sandberg that the body is ash, not alder. Also bass was made in 2009.
15. Seems like potential buyer changed his mind, so up for sale again!
16. Itzing, thanks but not what I'm looking for.
17. As I wrote in the original post: "While I'd prefer straight sale, let me know what you have for trade. I guess I will say no, but I'm interested in EBS Neo Cabs, Stingrays, CIJ Fenders and 6 string basses in general.I'm open for trades + cash your way if you have something that I like. You must be able to ship it to Hungary though."
18. Up for sale is my Ibanez SR1005 EFM Prestige bass. 600 GBP ONO I have acquired it this spring in a sort of impulse purchase, but ever since it is just living in the HSC so I have decided to let it go. Top of the line Ibanez SR basses have a special place in my heart. I love their playability, sound and build quality. However, I'm using my SR3006 for solo pieces and my Spector 5 string for gigs and my other basses does not see much use so I'm thinning the herd, so to speak. It is all stock. This baby is used, but not abused. Plenty of belt marks on the backside, some on the edges and on the top and one of the tuning pegs cover is missing on the backside. Varnish on the monorail bridges and some marks on the pickups. In 100% working condition, trussrod works fine and had a fret dress. I received this one as it is, but loved it nevertheless. Nothing that affects playability though. The neck is very fast and the action is set to my liking: low. In fact, I just played some songs on it and it the playability is ridiculously easy. The price includes a HSC and shipping within the EU. (bass is in Hungary) Paypal is ok! While I'd prefer straight sale, let me know what you have for trade. I guess I will say no, but I'm interested in EBS Neo Cabs, Stingrays, CIJ Fenders and 6 string basses in general.I'm open for trades + cash your way if you have something that I like. You must be able to ship it to Hungary though.
