  1. Sounds like me! Still, nearly every time I post a pic without naming the bass, people say "Wow, what's that?"
  2. Reverend Thundergun. Passive, pure and potent!
  3. Hey, there!
  4. One of many...and I am a Cat Steven's fan.
  5. Thanks!
  6. Yes, more than one way to learn and I wouldn't own my two L2000s if not for people posting how good they are these past years.
  7. I've heard the name before. Just not sure where. Sure beats calling a yellow finish natural when it's not. (I think Reverend does with the older Thunderguns.)
  8. Thank you.
  9. I wish I knew. Never saw another Imola with this finish and the seller didn't mention the color. The big pickguard is part of the charm, I think.
  10. Okay, it's not a typical jazz bass, not a Fender or a Squier or one of the countless clones, but it does have jazz pickups...and it doesn’t have the dreaded 60-cycle hum. Italia is not a brand you hear being lauded by bassists, but the people at Italia put together a very nice bass...Wilkinson pickups, bridge and tuners. I have no experience with Wilkinson, but everything seems spot on. I've always liked the look of the Imola, so I took a bit of a gamble and bought it online without being able to try it out...payed off! New price is $899, but I got it for $400 and it looks like it's never been played. GHS black tapewounds make this a real winner!
  11. Someone from Talkbass suggested I join this board to see how things worked on your side of the Atlantic. I'm hoping to get back in gear soon. Starting to rehearse for open mic nights. (I have ten basses...they need to get out and have some fun!)
