I'm fairly sure Tim Commerford used BEAD tuning in the later days of Rage Against the Machine and then into Audioslave. I've always wanted to try it myself, but never had an excuse!

Good for you for having an opinion. However, the OP asked a question about theory, and your response added nothing to the discussion in this context.

Transcribed this a couple of years ago, decided to revisit today. That 16th-note fill in measure 10 (doubled with overdubbed xylophone) blows my mind. Maybe I'll get around to a playalong sometime. Vulfpeck - 'Welcome to Vulf Records' (tab & notation) Original bass: Joe Dart Transcriptions archive

Red Light Spells Danger cover- a question about timing
Huw Foster replied to bass_dinger's topic in Theory and Technique
Because it is. It's mostly ok, but there's the odd moment when a phrase is rushed, pushing and pulling at the time in a very elastic way that throws you out of yourself. -
Needed to learn this for a gig; it has some nice bass moments in it, so I thought I should do a proper transcription. WHY IS IT ALWAYS PINO PALLADINO? Harry Styles - 'Watermelon Sugar' [notation / tab] Original bass: Pino Palladino Transcriptions archive

Hi Petr, at the moment most of mine are intermediate, but I'll aim to get more beginner level videos out there asap!

The main groove in this is so cool. So much space. In the playalong above, I tried to keep it relatively sparse for the first couple of sections, then started to fill it out a bit. However, the bridge is a note-for-note version of what Andre Bowman laid down originally. Mary J. Blige - 'Just Fine' [notation / tab] Original bass: Andre Bowman Transcriptions archive

Freddie Washington is the man. Another one of his tunes with Patrice Rushen, which was composed by Freddie too. I only heard this for the first time a few months ago, but I knew I had to get it transcribed as soon as I did! Hi Paddy, just had a quick go at the basic chord outline. Doesn't contain all the details, but hopefully it should help. Getting Better.pdf -
