    Right bit more info..... I bought it from the bass centre in california, about 2 years ago. It came as a 'B'grade bass but when it arrived i couldnt see anytyhing wrong with it at all. After a little research i found that the reason it was 'B' grade was because it didnt have the push/pull volume pot which means it is hard wired as active rather than the active/passive it should be! dont know if this affects the value at all??? Ive never minded as i only play active basses anyway so its never been an issue to me. Its immaculate, no major knocks scrapes etc just the very odd minor surface scratch yo'd expect from playing but to be honest ive seen brand new bassess in shops looking identical!! its the tobacco finish one which looks great and much nicer than the cherry burst version IMHO.     Ive never had my markbass 2x10 move about and the ashdown LG1000 head i used had velcro on the bottom to keep it firmly in place!!!

    OK so ive got a crappy old fender frontman 15B practice amp!!! i dont use it much but occassionally at home to practice, it rattles!!!! i thought it was just due to the extremely crappy speaker, so i had an old eminence beta 8" driver lying about so i finally swapped them over tonight to see if it helped.... NOPE!!! i'd just like to be able to crank it up a bit without the annoying rattles and i know the beta is way over powered for the amp itslef!! is it cos its a sealed little box?? would putting port holes in the rear help??? or is it cos its probably not air tight??? not a major dilema but i aint got any spare cash to buy a small practice combo (unless anyone can suggest a VERY good practice amp??!!)

    would have been but the missus just saw my bank statement!!!!!! and ive had to clear out my paypal just to calm her down!!! Ive got a set of these on my warwick and they look really cool and fancied a set for my 24 fret jazz.

    Have decided to definately let this one go but after trades for a good quality cab. My needs are lightweight as possible, as loud as possible. I use a MAG600 head rated at 4ohm, and i'd really prefer to only use a single cab rather than two. I do like plenty of bottom end but not shed loads, and i never slap so 'bright' isnt a requirement. just so lonag as it sounds clean and doesn't 'fart' when pushed hard. I play mainly small/medium gigs as rule with the very ocassional large venue. I do have a markbass 2x10 traveller cab that is use with this head but i do tend tofeel it doesnt give me enough low end. what have you got???? if i was to sell then £450 as a guide thanks

    Ive just decided to go for an EDB and won a rather nice pace one off ebay!!! I used to play double bass when i was at school (20+yrs ago!!!) and only a little, and havent seen or touched one since!!! any advice on re-learning to play one???

    A couple of years ago i started gettong pain in my left elbow and more worryingly numbness in my fingers, I still gigged and found towrds the end of a gig i cstruggled to use my left hand fingers. Turned out i had 'Ulna nerve compression'. I had to have an op whereby they opened up my elbow and chiselled a bit away from the bone that the ulna nerve travelled through to free it up a bit. Anyhow fine after that but now its coming back!!!! which will mean another op but this time to reposition the nerve altogether!!!! needless to say i'm putting it off for as long as poss as last time i had to take 8weeks off work, and no bass playing/gigs for that same length of time

    OK so took a gamble and bought one!!!! on first try out seems impressive (ive got it to replace my ashdown LG1000 which i feel is underpowered) Now my dilema is which cab to use it with??? Ive got a markbass 2x10 4ohm (210P) which i used with the LG1000, and ive also got a ashdown mAG15 (8ohm) cab. I bought this 15 as i felt the MB didnt give me enough low end, but didnt want to spend a lot on an experiment! I think i'll gig with the 15" but cant use both due to different ohms. Any thoughts??

    spotted the head on soundslive really tempted but ideally would really only like one cab as opposed to two! have spotted the eminence 15" speaker though to replace the one in the cab and its rated at 4 ohm so might do that!?

    I currently use a markbass 102P (2x10 4ohm) cab with an ashdown LG1000 head, therefore 500w into the cab at 4ohm. However I have always felt that the head is quiet and i have both input and output gain up almost full!!! I used to have an ashdown MAG300 head and marshall 4x10 cab and the input/output gains set at just over half!!!! why is this??? anyway, ive sold my rig and i'm looking at replacements. I do have an ashdown MAG15 cab (8ohm) and cant afford to replace both head and cab so looking for a good LOUD head to use with the mag15. I really like the look of the GK MB2-500 but wonder if i'd have similar problems as i had with the LG100 in that it would seem quiet due to digital technologies!? I'm also looking at the ashdown MAG600 head as i liked my Mag300, but dont really want to run two cabs. Any advice on a good head to buy??? I have a budget of about £450 - £500 so what do you guys use/recommend? I really only play small/medium size venues BTW

    I'm considering this amp, but will be using it with an ashdown MAG15 cab so only getting the 350w at 8ohm rther than the full 500w. Ive just got rid of my ashdown LG1000 cos it felt like i just wasnt getting the volume out of it (and some research shows that could be due to it being a class D amp) wopuld the same problem arise with this GK one does anybody know?????

    OK looks like ive sold my cab, so this head needs to go, will take £180 plus a tenner to cover postage if anyone tempted so far!!!!

    Yes still available! Has been gigged a fair bit. I do approx 3-4 gigs a month so its not been used that much, I play in a blues band so it hasnt been thrashed. I use another extension cab with it if i'm playing bigger venues so that takes any pressure off it anyway.

    As i quite fancy the MB 15" combo currently going on here i would need to shift my MB210P cab. Its about 6 months old and mint condition, has been gigged but well looked after. It is the 4 ohm version. would be looking for £350 and i still have the original box it came in so courier could be arranged (at buyers expense and arrangement) or could be collected. Of course I would also have to sell my ashdown LG1000 head too (see other thread!!!)
