3. I've been lucky enough to have done a few deals & met with daf in the past & not only has he done me great deals, i have gained a great friend too. Cheers Daf I think its my turn for the drinks when we next meet.
4. Weekend bump & i now have found the manual which meant that i misquoted the power rating of this cab. It has now been corrected.
5. Blimey!! that costs more than what you can get the mic stand for. Have you tried the distributor, i believe its beyer dynamic.
6. pm sent
7. Its looking good, you may find that when you start gigging that a grille may be required, just to offer the speakers just a little protection for when its being transported. But well done, nearly there now
8. I've just checked out the swr website, here's the link, hope this helps. Its their vintage section page, you may have to scroll through to find the relevent section. http://www.swrsound.com/support/vintage.php#procomboamps
9. Hi all, After a great deal of soul searching i've decided to put this up for sale. Its rated at 250 watts @ 8ohm. 1x15 cab with a tweeter & is rear ported. weighs approx 59lbs in a nice compact 22" width,20" high,16.5" depth sized cabinet, so its an easily manageable size. Fits in the back easily (with rear seats folded down) of my micra with an 2x10. I'm asking a reasonable £180, as i have already replaced this with another couple of Swr 2x10 cabs. Cab has been gigged, but has been very well looked after & has all original components. These were only available for a short while & then got replaced with the Son of Bertha cab. This has been well looked after & has very minor marks( being ultra fussy). Would rather prospective buyer collect the cab, but i'm willing to meet around the motorway network around the Birmingham area. i.e: M6,M5 or M42 to complete the deal. P.s Cab for sale is in the bottom left corner of the photo. Thanks for looking. Bernie.
10. Completed a transaction with Kevin today. The item was just as described, was a smooth & pleasent deal. Many Thanks Cheers Bernie.
11. Keep up the good work, its good to see someone who isn't fully confident in woodwork making an effort. I can see that as you go along & see some progress being made your gaining more confidence along the way. I'm sure this will turn out great. Well done, i can't wait for your next installment
12. Sorry to hear about the loss of the equipment It makes me so mad when this sort of thing happens. Here's hoping that it all turns up quickly & without any damage !!
13. Wow ! what a beautiful looking bass indeed. The chances are now that you've found your ultimate bass, you'll now be GASSING for an amp & cab setup to do the bass sound justice.
14. Although we're going slightly off topic ("sorry all"). I've been using swr amps & cabs for more than 10 years & have never had any problems at all. I could go on to list the swr equipment that i proudly own, but i could always post a pic, but again that'll be going off topic. but i'll endeavour to put some pics up soon
15. Oh !! plus 1 on roger inniss. What a superb player, being based in birmingham i've been lucky enough to have seen this man play in local bars on numerous occassions over the years. His playing never fails to inspire me, after seeing him play i always end up scurring home to practice more.
16. chances are i won't be too far behind you in the queue
17. Mmmm, can see the swr 750 poweramp looks like he has a signature series Mm2 pre-amp drool !!!
18. My perception of what Mr Berlin says is mainly for the shock factor. He likes to cause controversy by what he says. I think the reason behind this is that he likes people to think / explore what works for them best, as well as experimenting with unusual time signatures, the use of vibrato etc.
19. Me !!!!! Hi David, The case is perfect for my G&L 2500. Thanks for the drink & the chat, it was a pleasure doing business with you. A very smooth & easy transaction. Cheers Bernie
20. Mmm i'd have to agree with dood on this one & believe me i've experimented. In a nice sterile atmosphere of a rehearsal room the lower frequencies of the 15's would sound nice & give you a fuller sound. But in the complexities of a gig situation especially if a p.a is being used i would definately add another 4 x 10 it will cut thro any mush onstage so that it will be much more audible to your ears, hence the notes will sound more clearer/ definable. The reason added 15" may work for David Nimrod is that his 15" speaker is on top of the 4 x10 which brings it upto his ear level. Hope that this helps
21. Oh Blimey !!! What a deal, if only i wasn't already a proud owner of one of these i'd be round & snapping this up from you right now. Bargain !!!
