I would like to trade for a ABM 500 2/3 amp/cab setup. Thanks for looking any questions just ask !!
Would you consider selling the LMII on its own?
 5.
Selling is beginning to look like a possibility. oldslapper has first refusal and I've already had another PM about this. I'm going to give it until Wednesday to see if there's any trades. (it's not looking good on that front though) Haven't really decided on a price yet.
OK I'll keep an eye on how things go.
 6.
Monday afternoon bump.
Would you be prepared to sell it and, if so, what would you be asking? Regards Pete
 7.
Mega, mega cabs. Mine is too big for what I do now but to get rid of it would be insane as its the best tone ive ever had out of a cab. These are also actually surprisingly portable with the rollbar and wheels
Hi Stag I agree. It looks big and cumbersome but it's a doddle to move about. It took a lot of soul searching to put it up for sale, I can tell you. Cheers Pete
 8. This is a superb cab. It's the Classic series and made in the USA. I have had it from new and it has performed brilliantly, giving thunderous lows and great attack. The impedance of this cab is 4ohms and it handles 600 watts RMS. The full spec can be found on the Ampeg website. It comes with a fitted cover by Roqsolid that has protected it from new. As a result, the tolex to front, sides and back is in top notch condition. There are two very small nicks under the cab which cannot be seen when the cab is upright. The only reason I am selling it is because I am down-sizing to a GS410 cab. It is priced realistically at £500 as it's in great condition and these beauties are nearly £1,000 to buy new. Collection in person from Leeds is the only viable delivery option as it is too heavy to send by courier, although I am prepared to deliver/meet up within 50 miles radius of Leeds for the cost of the diesel. Cash on collection or bank transfer are the preferred methods of payment. For some reason the upload system is not working for me, so I cannot show some pics to do it justice. However, if you are interested and let me have your email address I'm sure I could send some that way.

 10.
Which model are these - 60 HF or 60 PE (different windings and tone) ? http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/p...p;series=j_bass
My apologies. I should have been more specific. They're the 60PE, which give a brighter tone. Regards Pete
 11. These have become surplus to requirements. They are about 18 months old. Come with black covers. £70 for the pair plus postage.
 12.
For sale is my pride and joy. I waited a long time to find one as good as this and never dreamed I'd have to sell it but... The pictures speak for themselves, its a stunner with not issues to report. Its all good! Frets, neck, bodywork, electronics and finish. Older Thumbs are a bit heavier than the newer ones which is a small pay off considering the superior overall quality of the old handmade instruments. The asking price is what I paid for it about 18 months ago. I would rather not post it as I only have a gig bag left now so I'd rather it be collected or I would meet half way within reason but please PM me if this would be a problem as I'm sure something can be sorted out. Anyhow picture time! 13.
Like many bass players, I also play guitar and I front a blues influenced trio which covers 60s style bluesy pop rock including songs by Hendrix, Cream as well as Jeff Healey, various blues standards and other classic 60s rock. We aim to keep everything tight and snappy, with good arrangements and a professional approach. Due to the relocation of our current bass player, as well as his new and expanding business, we require a new bass player to fill the position. I have a decent PA (including subs), lights and a reliable van and also a dedicated rehearsal space at home which can accomodate a 3 or 4-piece band. We have several gigs booked currently, all re-bookings, including the Blues Bar in Harrogate, and we aim for decent gigs that are worth playing. We're keen to get more in the diary and also to expand to more venues and different types of gigs, as well as being able to cover private functions effectively, as we occassionally get booked for those types of gigs too. The aim is to build on the success so far and develop things into a reliable, pofessional, regularly gigging band, rather than a casual weekend band. We're also planning on taking this change as an opportunity to expand the band for some gigs to include keys, and a frontline of sax and trumpet, so we can gig the band as either a 3-piece, 4-piece or 6-piece, as well as adding significantly to the current repertoire of over 30 songs, also with more songs in the style of B.B.King, Robben Ford and similar others that suit a bigger band. In a bass player, we'd be looking for someone who is keen to work hard to push things forwards and who is available for regular gigs. I've got parts written up for the current repertoire for the 3-piece (which I did to accommodate deps) so reading ability would probably be necessary so the set can be learnt fairly quickly, although there is plenty of freedom despite there being parts written up, and being a really good sight-reader is not necessary. Also, you'd need your own transport, although we can use the van on gigs, and obviously own equipment, previous experience. Backing vocals would be useful, but not essential. I'm based in Guiseley, near Leeds. Let me know if you're interested, or if you have any questions. Cheers, Jonny.
PM'd

 15.
Ahh!! I know I bang on about these cabs a lot, they sound awesome - The SVT 2 Pro is a monsterous beast too and sounds great, good luck with the sale!
Thanks, Dood
 16.
Lovely amp & wish I had the dough to buy it off you! Good luck with your sale.
Thanks, jonthebass. They really are brilliant amps.
 17. This is a reluctant sale forced on me by a shoulder injury and a hernia! But that’s the price of owning a quality valve amp! The tone from this amp is truly superb. Made in the USA for the UK market. I am having to make my gear lighter so – at 100lbs including rack case – this is going to have to make way for a hybrid amp. I have had the amp from new and it has always been kept in a 6U rack case, which I am including in the sale. There is a small scratch on the top of the case due to a salesperson’ clumsiness in the unpacking procedure. This does not affect the working of the amp and cannot be seen when in the rack case. The power section was re-valved in Nov 2008 and since then it has had only light usage. I am based in Leeds and, due to the weight of this item, would prefer collection in person, although I could meet up to deliver within a 50 mile radius for the cost of the diesel. Cash or bank transfer please. The SVT2 has a much greater functionality than the CL, e.g. mute switch, graphic and drive control. Details can be viewed in full on the Ampeg website at www.ampeg.com I am looking for £1,000 for it. PM me if you are interested.

Packed well, shipped the minute my cheque cleared and included a cheque to cover the difference in postage (I guessed £20, cost £10). Cheers!
Sold Gary a multi effects pedal. 23. I have one of these 83 Jazz Basses in Ivory. It has a maple fingerboard and I have it strung with flatwounds. It's a superb-sounding bass -especially with the bridge pick up favoured - and plays beautifully. Mine has had a chrome cover fitted but I managed to get the original one-piece pickguard so it could be restored to it's original look. There's a small section in the book "The Fender Bass" by Black and Molinaro on the 83 Jazz and also in another book of the same title by Klaus Blasquiz. Best of luck with the sale. Someone will get a future classic for not a lot of money. Cheers Pete
 24.
Nothing too radical- just some useful stuff for a workhorse bass! I've changed the original pickups for Nordstrand NJ4s, fitted a series/parallel toggle switch onto the control plate, and finally copper-shielded and star-grounded the electronics. I also stripped the original black nitro finish down to bare wood!
Wow! There's no answer to that! I bet it sounds wicked Regards Pete
 25.
Good luck with the sale!
Thanks
