  1. I must clear some space so these will have to go. Two Aguilar cabs, one with tweeter and one without. Together they sound great. They are in excellent, unmarked, mint condition as I bought them new from Bass Direct just before Covid lock down. As such they have had very little use and have always been kept in the Roqsolid covers I bought at the time. These are no longer in production so grab the chance while you can. I won't trust these to a courier but am happy to meet up within a reasonable distance from Leeds.
  2. Thank you BigJHW. I was so impressed with this bass that I'm now after a 4 string BB434 as I'm strictly a 4 stringer.
  3. Looking at market valuations I realised I'd overpriced it, hence the drop in price. Grab a bargain as these are excellent instruments.
  4. Picture now added after a very laborious procedure converting it from HIEC to jpg 😒 I'm really not very good at this IT stuff.
  5. Price drop to £250 Up for sale is this BB235. It's in excellent condition as I bought it new and it has not seen much action as I'm a confirmed 4 stringer. I bought it to help me recover from shoulder surgery and keep on playing. It did it's job perfectly and got me out of a hole but I'm back playing 4 strings now. This is the first Yamaha bass I have owned and I have to say it is extremely well made, so well that I'm looking for a BB434 (see trade option below). Collection from Leeds or meet up within a reasonable distance. TRADES - I'd be happy to trade this for a Yamaha BB434 (with cash your way) as my experience of this bass has been very positive.
  6. I have one of these and I have to say it's a great bass. They are really well made and play beautifully. I really don't know how they do it for the price. I think I paid just under £400 for mine, new. This one is a real bargain. Whoever buys it will not regret it. Good luck with the sale.
  7. GR Bass is great gear. I use their one 800 and a AT112 cab. Always get great compliments on the sound and the cabs are so light. the 1x12 sounds great so I can only imagine what a 2z12 would be like. GLWTS
  8. Just bought a pedal board from Alain in what was a completely trouble-free transaction. Everything was exactly as described. Great comms and prompt delivery. A real credit to Basschat. You can deal with him with utmost confidence. Thanks Alain.
  9. These are great amps. I use one with a GR AT112 cab. Brilliant tones and very, very light. GLWTS.
  10. Thanks, Rich. It's in really good condition (almost mint I would say). Good luck with your sale and thanks for the bump. Cheers Pete
  11. Just sold my TH500 to Ben in an absolutely brilliant straightforward transaction. Great comms and instant payment. You can deal with him with absolute confidence, a real credit to Basschat.
  12. Price drop to £120!!! So I have come to the conclusion that I have too many (3) combos therefore one has to go and this is the one. It's the Peavey Max 112 (with the optional tilt back positioning) and it's in excellent condition as you can see from the photos. It's a great combo with some excellent features giving a wide range of sounds. The kickback shape makes it very versatile and allows you to hear yourself much better than when all the sound is is blasted round your ankles. it would certainly keep up in a band situation. I can't post it but will be happy to meet up within 50 miles of Leeds or, If you would like to try it out before you buy, then pop round and I'll put the kettle on! Specs from the Peavey website as follows: Peavey MAX 112 Bass Combo Amp 200 Watts @ 8 Ohms 1 x 12" Speaker w/ DDT Speaker Protection Pre-Gain Control w/ Transtube Gain Boost 3-Band EQ w/ Punch, Mid Shift and Bright Controls 1/8" Headphone Jack 1/8" Aux Input Chromatic Tuner Psycho-Acoustic Low End Enhancement Tuned, Ported Enclosure
  13. I've got too many amps and another incoming so something has to go. This is my Tone Hammer 500 in excellent working order. It comes with power lead and owner's manual. There are a couple of light scratches on the top which I've shown in the photos. Collection from Leeds, West Yorkshire, preferred but I have the original box so can post to UK address if required. Thanks for looking
  14. Great cabs. I use a pair and they sound beautiful. GLWTS.
  15. I use a Streamliner 900 and I've noticed that one of the valves seems to be glowing red. Have I got a problem? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
  16. I realised, inspite of it being in near mint condition, that I was asking too much. Hence now £80!
  17. Had second thoughts and realised I've over-priced this so now £80!!!!! Mine is up for sale. It’s a great, versatile pedal with lots of options but I realise now that it’s a bit too well-spec’d for my needs so it needs to go. It's in excellent condition and complete with box and user manual. The Source Audio website has this to say about it: The Programmable EQ packs plus or minus 18dB of range over seven frequency bands, plus an additional frequency band at 62Hz, accessible via the Octave Extend function. Engaging the Octave Extend systematically optimizes the pedal’s frequency spectrum to accommodate the specific frequency range of the bass. The pedal also offers a substantial clean boost of up to 12dB. Use the clean boost for an entirely transparent volume increase or give your amp the front-end push needed for an aggressive natural break-up. Once you've dialed in the desired guitar or bass tone, save it in one of four programmable user presets. Each preset is easily accessible via the hands-free footswitch scrolling function. Simply hold down the footswitch and let the pedal scroll through each preset at an adjustable rate — release to engage. The pedal’s MIDI input also provides remote access for switching presets, controlling parameters, and engaging/bypassing the effect. I am happy to post at buyer’s expense, probably about £10
  18. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately when I look on their website it says it's out of production. I did, however, try a similar cradle from Thomas but it didn't help as it held the bass in the wrong position. Thanks anyway Kind regards Pete
  19. Thanks for that idea but I don't want to spend any more than I have to as I'm aiming to get back to playing my 4 strings as I have a lot of money invested in them. Regards Pete
  20. Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the Talman short scale but - because the movement in my arm is so limited - it wasn't any real benefit. For the moment I'm trying a Yamaha BB235 and play up around the 12th fret to replicate the lower notes of the E string on a 4 string.
  21. Thanks for all your replies. I bought the cradle but it's not the solution. The bass, when, cradled is just in the wrong position and my shoulder will not allow me sufficient flexibility of movement. I'll just persist with 5 string and a capo for the time being in the hope that I'll either get used to it or my shoulder will heal and allow me to get back to my 4 strings. The thing I find most difficult with the 5er is the 18mm spacing (I'd prefer 19mm) and having to relearn the fingerboard.
