  1. Thanks, it's a beauty but the slippers aren't for sale (unless they can sweeten the deal that is!)
  2. It had that effect on me too!
  3. I bought this bass new from Bass Direct last year to help me recover from a replacement shoulder operation following a fall that ruptured the tendons in my shoulder. It did its job perfectly but I'm now back playing my long scale basses again, so this must be offered for sale. The bass is in mint condition and comes with Maruszczyk branded gig bag, tools and paperwork. Body - Ash Neck - hard rock maple - 30" scale Fingerboard - katalox (rosewood) 19mm string spacing Maruszczyk pickups (passive) Colour - Transparent black burst. Collection from Leeds or meet up within 50 miles.
  4. Yes, they are indeed right up there with the best.
  5. Thanks, it's a brilliant amp and I'm offering it at almost £1,000 less than I've seen it retail. All the best Pete
  6. Thanks Andy Yes, you did and I missed it so much that I bought another one! They are indeed wonderful amps but I'm having to be realistic and steadfast.
  7. Infirmity and old age have told me that it's time to stop lugging heavy gear around so this amp - acknowledged as a leader in its class - must be put up for sale. I have had it from new, always kept in a rack case and therefore it's in immaculate condition. It has just been serviced by Gareth at Sound Services. I put it in a Gator Roller Rack Case to help with transporting it to and from gigs but I still can't avoid the lifting and my ruptured shoulder tends to complain at that. It performs superbly. The official blurb is as follows. The DB® 751 combines the legendary tube-driven tone of the DB® 750 with greater EQ control. A perfect combination of raw power and excellent tone, the DB® 751 continues the legacy set by the world famous DB® 750. Delivering 975 Watts at 2 ohms and 750 Watts at 4 ohms, this amp has the headroom you need to play any size venue. DB® 751 FEATURES Self-Diagnostic Protection Circuit and Thermal Overload Protection Circuit (both with LED indicators) Power Output: 975 watts @ 2 ohms, 750 watts @ 4 ohms, 400 watts @ 8 ohms Preamp Section: Three 12AX7’s Power Section: 12 complimentary lateral MOSFETs Transformer: Custom Aguilar toroidal power transformer EQ Section: passive tone stack with active midrange element Bass: +12 / -12 @ 40Hz Midrange: +12 / -12 @ 750Hz Treble: +12 / -7 @ 4kHz Deep Switch: Adds 5 dB of broadband boost at 30 Hz Bright Switch: Adds 5 dB of broadband boost at 5-7 kHz Effects Loop: Send is push/pull for line or instrument level; Return is push/pull for parallel or series operation Inputs: One 1/4″ input jack with an active/passive switch Outputs: Two Neutrik Speakon speaker outputs, Jensen XLR balanced output (with pre/post EQ and ground lift switch) and Tuner out. Cooling: Two high-quality whisper fans with thermal speed control Dimensions: 17″ W x 14″ D x 5.25″ H Rack Size: Three Spaces, Includes detachable rack ears Weight: 42 lbs For obvious reasons I'm not prepared to courier this but collection from Leeds is welcomed or a meet up within a 50 mile radius. Thanks for looking.
  8. I use a pair of these and they sound superb. Someone will get a real bargain here. Good luck with the sale.
  9. Just sold my Peavey combo to Peter in a completely trouble-free transaction. We met up bang on time to hand over. Peter is a great guy to deal with - excellent communication and cash on delivery. A great Basschatter, you can deal with him with utmost confidence.
  10. Hi I can't see an outlet for one and the manual does not mention it. So, unfortunately, I think the answer to your question is no, it can't take an extension cab. Having said that, it's rated at 200 watts output with a tilt back design so it comes across as very loud. I've only used it as a practice combo so the gain and volume knobs never go past 9 o'clock (number 2 on the dial). Regards Pete
  11. These are excellent cabs, individually or especially when used as a pair. Great tone and an easy carry. I use a pair like these and can testify to their quality and sound. Good luck with the sale, these are a real bargain.
  12. Just sold my Aguilar cabs to Dave. We met up to do the handover and had a great chat over a coffee. Dave is a great guy, excellent comms led to a really straightforward transaction. You can deal with him with absolute confidence - a top Basschatter.
  13. I just bought an American Pro Jazz from Nick and I can say that he is a great guy to deal with. Great comms and very helpful. Good luck with the sale Nick.
  14. Just bought a Jazz bass (American Pro) from Nick. What a great guy! Excellent communicator with perfectly clear meet up arrangements. He even sent me videos of the bass and him playing it (very good player too!) He's a real credit to Basschat, you can deal with him with absolute confidence.
  15. That's beautiful! Shame you are so far away.
  16. Yes they are. Great tone and an easy one hand lift too.
  17. Just sold my Yamaha 235 to Mike (and, quite unexpectedly, an amp too). What a great guy and very, very knowledgeable too. You can deal with Mike with absolute confidence. A great Basschatter!
  18. I must clear some space so these will have to go. Two Aguilar cabs, one with tweeter and one without. Together they sound great. They are in excellent, unmarked, mint condition as I bought them new from Bass Direct just before Covid lock down. As such they have had very little use and have always been kept in the Roqsolid covers I bought at the time. These are no longer in production so grab the chance while you can. I won't trust these to a courier but am happy to meet up within a reasonable distance from Leeds.
  19. Thank you BigJHW. I was so impressed with this bass that I'm now after a 4 string BB434 as I'm strictly a 4 stringer.
  20. Looking at market valuations I realised I'd overpriced it, hence the drop in price. Grab a bargain as these are excellent instruments.
  21. Picture now added after a very laborious procedure converting it from HIEC to jpg 😒 I'm really not very good at this IT stuff.
  22. Help! I can't seem to be able to upload pictures on my Mac.
