    hi all i have the Ashdown abm 500 combo with the 15 inch speaker and a 410t cab My question is does it make much difference if i have the combo on top of the cab as this looks more pleasing to the eye as the 410 is deeper than the combo If the combo is at the bottom then the controls will be in the middle of the rig which looks strange What do you think Chhers

    This is turning out to be a very entertaining thread as i can understand everyones complaint especially the tuning and playing while talking which really drive me mad. Another one for me is that when our guitarist tries to explain something like an accent at the end of a chorus he seems to have to play through whole song on his own , i think he just likes to hear himself play

    In the band i am in the guitarist always tries to tell me how to play a basssline (i have only been playing for 25 years) which tends to do my head in as i do not tell him how to play things on his guitar. Is it because they follow the myth that a bass player is someone who wants to play a guitar but is not good enough which of course is a load of bo####s any views or am i being over sensitive

    Theres also PMT (professional music technology) i think thats what it stands for and they have a website and are much better than Sound Control or Fairdeal

A bit random...[/quote] we played in Melton Mowbray on Friday and we had a large crowd and by 11 oclock a very p****d larger crowd mainly women who were attempting to dance but kept falling over. One girl fell over our monitor and head butted the guitarists pedal board she lay there for 5 minutes or so until she was rescued by a guy who was in a worse state than her but it turned out ok in the end and the pedal board was un harmed never mind we got booked again

    By regrets I mean missing out on a bass that was a bargain Saying no to a band that then made it big Or any other regrets Mine was when i was on holiday in morrocco we visited Marakesh market and i saw an immaculate wal and walked past it but then realised that this would probably be a bargain if i could haggle I could not find the stall when i went back so i was gutted
