  1. Downer! Now there's less time pressure can you troubleshoot?
  2. Me please, I'll drop you a pm.
  3. Assuming (and it's a BIG assumption) that everyone is keeping in line with the drum kit then yes. Much more than that and it may struggle. Comparing them to the other 1x12 cabs that I've owned, whilst I never run anything near breaking point so I don't know this for certain, I am fairly confident that my QSCs are significantly more powerful than my GK Neo 1x12 was, about on par with my Barefaced Midgets*, and less capable than my Barefaced FR800s. *If you really care, I think the midgets would go a little louder but they started to get a little thin when pushed. The QSCs stay full all the way up, even if they don't go quite as far.
  4. The clank is kinda the point!
  5. Excellent, do you have any photos of the nano in it? (lid open please! 😁
  6. Thanks man, it's the latest in a years long journey of recreating a pa and rig minimalism! I've not had the G75 but I have had the G30 and G55 as well as this Shure. All were excellent in terms of performance, though I do like the form factor of the Shure with the tuner and low profile antennae.
  7. Whilst this does indeed sound unnecessary it also sounds cool as heck. Get the aforementioned Lehle or Boss units, or might I suggest you give your money to a smaller, handmade affair and go for Brightonion?
  8. ..............super speaker? A non-diy StevieSpeaker? Take my money.
  9. We played a new venue for us last night and, knowing that the stage was really big, I took both QSCs with the intent of shamelessly recreating @danweb22's setup. However, the stage wasn't so much big as it was just really wide, this meant that I couldn't really hear my vocal in the singer's monitor the way I normally do. I was tempted to have two monitors but decided to get creative and have a monitor plus a backline. 30 second's work to rearrange some cables and cue up an extra mix on a spare aux. It's crazy the options that digital mixers and rigs like this can give. Please excuse the mess. The backline was yet to be tidied and the frontline was behind a wall...
  10. Most of them are primarily just PA cabs yes. Some are meant for guitar (like the Laney) and some are PA cabs with extra features for instrument use (QSC). But yeah, they're PA cabs.
  11. There's some fudging going on here. BF only use one 10" driver, so the 610 and the 210 (in the '12 ohm' setting) will be exactly the same as the BF 810, which is used with 4 ohm amps amps the time.
  12. Not me! We usually bring our PA, so we usually have good PA support, but I have done some gigs where the K12.2 is backline-that-fills-the-room and it works great. This is exactly my situation and also exactly my thoughts. I'm no evangelist and I'd go back to a trad setup in a heartbeat if/when it's the right route for me, but at the moment it just isn't. The Handbox/Barefaced rig in the classifieds is calling though. Not a replacement, just as an option...
  13. Do they stack well? I've always fancied it but the shiny, slippery plastic makes me nervous and the feet/recess setup is a bit shallow.
  14. I'm not clear on what you're proposing, but just to be clear: NEVER plug two amplifiers into the same cab at the same time.
  15. There are free signal generator apps for phones...
  16. You really don't need (and in fact don't usually want) to reproduce the lowest fundamentals, especially on stage. Something like @BassFRFR's cab makes soundman Jack nervous.
  17. Definitely Ashdown MAG, the best budget amps IME.

    Power supplies

The Cioks DC7 will do that.
  19. That's kind of my point to be honest! How can Thomann do it but Hartke can't? Yes yes economies of scale and such but it's not like Larry is hand building amps in his garage these days either. I know I know, to be honest I bet the reality is somewhere in between what I think and what you think. I love good, high quality, cheap gear. I own a Harley Benton bass and a The Box (also a Thomann brand) pa cab, both of which are superb and punch well above their price tags. I also love and champion both Studiospares and Orchid here all the time, both cheaper brands. However I think you're asking a lot to get what's essentially a full stage rig for £200 brand new. By the sounds of it your volume requirements are low and as you've mentioned Thomann have an excellent returns policy. Go for it, just have reasonable expectations of what any £200 amp can deliver.
  20. What makes you think that they aren't comparable? Just trying to help man.
  21. A £200 amp, FRFR or traditional, will be lower tier performance. That puts you against this bass combo.
  22. I know that @Newfoundfreedom post was tongue in cheek but fwiw I do the other way around. Stomp>Desk>K12.2 as if it were a normal monitor. Partly so that I can benefit from the desk processing but mainly because there's a snake drop right by my pedalboard on the frontline. Route of least resistance! The point of that either way works just fine.
  23. Hi, do you still have the Zander?
  24. Sadly nothing on the headphones, nor on the stereo right output. Never used it before, but I did check and nope, nothing. It was set to just control phones volume anyway. Been back to June with 3 different backups and nothing now. Thank you for the help all, but I'm actually beginning to wonder if it's hardware failiure...
