1. I'm looking at a Hartke Cab for sale on here. It's rated 150watts RMS at 8ohms and i was wondering if i could increase the power and what it would involve, as i was hoping to get a cab with a bit more kick...
2. another bump So many views and only a small amount of interest. Price too high?
3. No. Purely down to the fact that compared to the session bassists that i've seen i am just not good enough, and possibly never will be
4.
It#s a lovely bass mate but I have fallen in love with another.
Which bass are you looking at?
5. love it! the feel and groove is immense!

10. thanks a lot bumnote. some good advice for me there, i'll stick with this warwick cab atm and then if i need more power afterwards i'll look into the 2 8ohm cab option
11. Is it hard to re wire a cab from 4 ohms to 8?
12.
Have a butchers at these: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=nemesis Or this: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=84225 Both great deals and quality cabs
I did very dearly want those nemesis cabs, but i am honestly so skint i actually cant afford two. I've managed to find a Warwick Pro 411 4ohm for £190 which i think is quite a good deal
13. thanks for the help guys. here was me ruling out all 8ohm cabs because i thought it might damage the head lol. I'll start looking into more cabs now. was thinking of maybe two Ashdown 8 ohm cabs (im poor you see) or a warwick 4x10 at 4 ohms.
14. I have an Eden WT400 and was wondering which cabs i can use? It says 4ohms on the back of the amp, but would i be able to use an 8 ohm cab or different? I've attached a pic for reference
15. Alex Katunich, Tay Zamora and Justin Chancellor with some Tim Commerford thrown in
16. final price drop bump
17.
who wants to see the old gear list???!!!!
Go on then, lets have a gander
18. bump. might have to go to evilbay soon
19.
£25 for a shop to do it is probably about right - it will take then at least 30 minutes to do the job. If you are competent with a soldering iron I'd say do it yourself - if not, don't even try. I picked up a bass once where someone had installed a Sadowsky pre-amp and they made such a bad job it ended up ruining it
Cheers, i'll take it in then. dont want to end up ruining it by doing a bodge job
20. that is the nicest roscoe i have seen
21.
Fitting a preamp isn't a huge job so long as you have comprehensive instructions it can be a relatively straightforward DIY job but if your soldering skills are below par or you've not done anything like it before then tbh £25 isn't a bad price for the job. It's actually probably 30 min job if you know what you are doing but most places would charge you an hours rate which would be about the £25 mark.
I have comprehensive instructions, but iv only soldered once... and that was in year 9 making a steel buffalo. So overall, this is a good price then? Unless someones fancies a crack at it?
22. its a seymour duncan STC2a going into my warwick corvette
