1. Dream bass? Wow I didn't think it'd be anyones dream bass.... surely there are much more flash Warwicks with gold hardware, inlays etc that'd float your boat? But then again... it is growing on me! Anyone know how much I should offer for it?
2. Thanks Doctor J. Serial number says it was made in October 06. Newer than I thought then.... can't find anything that was sold here 'of a similar vintage / spec.
3. Hey folks, I'm looking at this at the moment, being sold by a friend. I like it but I don't like the finish. Never thought I'd be a Warwick man, but it's very seductive to play. Just wondering if anyone could date it for me and maybe suggest a value? How much would it have been new? Any info or thoughts much appreciated! Does anyone have something similar? Would refinishing it (i.e. sanding back the finish professionally) totally de-value it? Thanks!
4. Could you give an idea of the weight? Thanks
5. Sold pending.
6. That's just silly. Wot a rig. How heavy is that 4x10? If I bought that, my band members would hate me forever. But so what, eh?
7. El bump.
8.
If it went straight away you'd be thinking you priced it too low. It's probably just that no one is looking for one at the moment but that could change at any time. You only posted the original ad 3 days ago.
Yer probably right. Patience grasshopper and all that. Bump for possible trades.... hit me up.
9. Make your cover band a bit more fun.... Learn songs that push you and the band, even if they don't always work on the dancefloor. If you keep doing it, you'll find songs you like to play but that actually do keep the dancefloor full. Punters will appreciate it, and you'll get lots of well paid work in a good niche cos your not just robotically playing Brown eyed girl and Neil Diamond night after night.... the gigs you get will get hipper and more fun. Blasting out "I am the resurrection" to a hopping dancefloor at a wedding is nothing boring at all! That's how we handle it anyways.
10.
great, great combo
Not an enormous amount of interest though. Have I priced it fairly enough?
11.
Dammit I just bought one of these at the weekend! Awesome little amp, have a free bump
Thanks Evil. I love this amp, but we're traveling mainly in the van these days, so I can afford to run something a bit bigger usually. If I had to use public transport or had a small car, this would be my go to amp. The size/weight/volume ratio is the best in it's class I reckon. I owned a minimark for a while and that was almost useless next to this.
12. Evening bump for the wee beasty.
13. PM replied. Turns out postage to the UK is not insubstantial.... so I'll absorb a bit of it. I'm gunna say £450 delivered to the UK.
14. Hey folks, Looking to change my cabs, so I need to put this up for sale or trade. Bought from Thomann on the 13th of May (so it's nearly brand new). I've gigged it about 20 times, and it's a marvelous little box. Very capable for it's size.... but there's already been plenty written about it elsewhere. Ibanez promethean review I modified the strap on the bag because it wasn't up to the job (see photos). I used this combo in plenty of different situations - Stand alone, with an extension cab, and powering 2 x GS112 cabs. I rate the head over my old LM2, and I've never had such a small combo that was so capable. There is one small bit of damage (you might just be able to make it out in the photos) on the top of the cab, and another ding hardly worth mentioning (you probably won't spot it in the photos). I would describe the damage as very minor cosmetic damage. I reckon I'm probably one of the first people to move one of these on, so there's been no precedent set for second hand value yet. I paid £578 only 2 months ago, so I'm tentatively asking for £420 plus postage costs (I'm in Dublin Ireland). Ideally, someone will have a suitable trade, but I'm not holding out too much hope cos I'm pretty specific about what I want. I'm looking for cabs primarily. Barefaced, Accugroove, or Acme. If you happen to have any of that let me know! I could also be tempted for the right sandberg california! I have cash to add to any potential deal. Here's a few snaps, I'll take some better ones next week.
15. Any interest in a promethean combo as a trade?
16. I'm just about to do a trade + cash deal for one of these.... Just wondering, what's the going rate now approx for a second hand 450 with bag and footswitch?
17. I'll take yer terror bass if you will ship it to Dublin my friend.... Send us a PM!
18. I'm thinking about picking up a couple of the RS 210 cabs. Only thing putting me off is the rear porting. I've had difficulties with too much volume on stage with rear ports in the past.... I find front porting makes more sense. Any one else noticed that with the TC cabs, or do they project forwards very well?
19.
No swelling..?? might be a splinter or shard of metal/string. I'd soak it in TCP and also hot water..but you don't have much time. I'd do that overnight anyway.
No swelling that I can see. I'm just gunna wrap it up and hope for the best. I've been putting traumil on it, which is a kind of a hippie cream that's good for all sorts of bruises and muscle pain... so hopefully it'll be alright given a bit of time to recover. I'm gunna turn up my amp and try to play lighter tonight.
20.
If I ever play more than one gig in a row I have to prepare myself as my fingers are generally shot after a gig. Something to cushion the pinky may be in order but if you do make sure it can;t come off easily. I once put a plaster over my index finger when I was in pain and it started coming off during a song leaving my finger and the strings incredibly sticky. If was f***ing awful. Maybe try to use your ring finger instead or even slide up and down the notes you need.
Yeah I did have to use my ring finger instead last night.... but it's tough cos I sing quite a bit, and it's a lot to concentrate on.... when your singing and playing your (well mine at least) brain tends to go into automatic mode. I wonder I could use gaffa tape to keep the plaster on. Sounds like a plan.
