prices? Especially the ampeg
I'm not totally sure about prices so feel free to comment, but I reckon about €500 for the Minimark and €400 for the Summit. I'm getting a lot of interest in the V4BH... I remember it cost me about €1200 new, so I'd like to get around €650 for it. One interesting offer so far on the trade front! I'm still not too interested in making straight sales... unless I need to raise the cash to buy something particularly nice! Also, remember I'm over here in Dublin, so there may be a bit of postage to factor in (hopefully not much!)

Ok guys, I've been thinking about doing this for a while.... I have some nice gear which I'm not getting much use out of. Don't really need the money from selling them, so I'm just putting a feeler out to see if anyone has anything interesting for trade that I can get more use out of. I'm interested in nice P style basses, (or at least ones with precision style pick ups!), Stingrays, Aguilar heads, and Aguilar, Epifani, or other nice cabs. Lets see what you got! If you have something very nice of more value than the swop you are thinking about, I can give cash your way! I can take better photos of all this gear if theres any interest. 1: Ampeg V4BH. Nearly sold this to TB'er Simon a while back, but I got cold feet. In very good condition. I bought it about 4 years ago from Thomann.de brand new. Made in the USA. Sounds like liquid gold. Currently has a set of Groove tubes 6L6s which may not be everyones cup of tea, but sound amazing to me. Comes with a nice cover too. 2: Summit 2BA preamp. I have 2 of these but only really need 1. Great versatile preamp. You can see it in the above pic, but here is is in its rack. Perfect condition. Therre might be a scratch or 2... Im not sure. I'll take em out of the rack and photo em more extensively if anyones interested in em. 3: My minimark. I love this, but hardly ever use it. Bought it new, still have the box and a nifty cover which I had made for it special. Here it is sitting on top of some other stuff.
Hi Jesse, glad you're liking the sound. I found running it with the bass and treble controls up a bit (about 2-3 oclock) gives you a little more oomph. Ben, have you noticed the one on ebay? It's been sitting for weeks, priced a bit high at £250. Since it's not shifting at that price, I'd think they might accept an offer. It's worth a try...
Ben, I'll give you first dibs on it if I decide to sell it... but I don't see that happening for quite a while.... I think its a keeper!
Cheers for the tip about APC - I'll check 'em out. Not gone gone yet, but pending the usual...
This arrived last week all in great working order and well packed. Martin is a pleasure to do business with! I'm very happy with the amp. Used it for band practice last night, it sounds very sweet. Got that tubey detailed sound I like. Not terribly loud with one 102HF markbass cab, but I still have to try it with my second cab at 4 ohms.... should make it push a bit more air ( I know these amps don't technically get any louder when the Ohmage is reduced, but more speakers tend to sound bigger). Great wee practice amp and looks absolutely very very totally cool with the backlight behind the perspex panel! Jesse
Jesso - who's in Dublin, was looking for one of these just yesterday: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=aguilar
Yep. I've Pm'd you! Was really after the DB version.... but I've been doing a bit of research and maybe the GS would do the job too!
Well noted R, but i'm not selling an amp i'm selling a speaker
Are you open to swopsies? I have an Ampeg V4BH that I'm getting ready to part with (I think!) and also a Summit 2BA preamp that I don't really use at the mo either.
Something's come up for sale and I want it but I'd need to sell my two Aggies first. They're in excellent condition and sound marvellous as you'd expect. Pics up soon. I want as close to £450 as I can get for them. May deliver / if not meet halfway. If the thing I want sells, then they'll be withdrawn so no dilly-dallying ya hear?
Hi, How much to post to Dublin? I'd be quite interested. are u selling em as a pair? I've been checking this board every day for weeks now, waiting for one to come up... wasn't actually looking for a pair, but might be able to stretch to it! Also, are they black with silver grills? Cheers, Jesse -

SOLD - MarkBass "Jeff Berlin" 1 x 15 combo - SOLD
Jesso replied to Monz's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Does this have a tweeter? I think I read that Jeff Berlin "doesnt like tweeters" but some of the earlier ones had them... Thanks
No tweeters in this bad boy. I used to have one. Great amp. Silly loud and light. If you don't mind the rear porting, its the ultimate 15 inch speakerd combo IMO. -
Have a bump on me for what is probably the coolest looking bass amp I have seen. Pity no modern amps follow the form and function of this amp....Its very tempting ..........
Im in love with this amp. How loud exactly is not very loud? Would it keep up with a drum kit and a couple of guitars? If the answer is yes, then how much to post it to Dublin? THANKS!
Bump. Might consider other configs / makes of combo - 2x10 / 1x12 etc What you got? (I'm in Northampton area)
Not that I have one, but you could also consider just swapping/selling your cab for a wee one? That way you get to pair it with a bigger cab in the future if you want. Just a thought.

Trace Elliot V-Type 4x8 Combo *WITHDRAWN*
Jesso replied to overwater#1's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Hi all, I'm soo going to regret this, but I must get some money together for other things.. I'm doing most of my work on bass trombone at the moment, and for the forseeable future, and doing plenty of professional and amateur work around the area. I'm studying with a renowned professor of bass bone, and should be studying at the RNCM or a London college next year...so all emphasis is on my bass trombone work. I'm looking at purchasing a different bass trom anyway, that would work better for me, namely a dual bore Edwards B454 or a DB Rath R9 bass. I need to free up some money now anyway, and as I use my AH400SMX head with Peavey 2x10 cab all the time now, and also have a 4x10 and 1x15, the V-type combo isn't getting the use it deserves. I really could do with the money thats tied up in it, as it is vital to go towards the price of a new bass trombone.. by buying this, you'd be helping me so much, I hate to say it, as I love this combo! It's in awesome condition anyway, plays superbly, really sounds very very special! The pre amp is sublime, and the speakers are very precise, and have a great tone! Rated at 290W, probably puts out some more than that to be honest!! I can add pictures, and talk about more details if anyone is interested. I'm looking for £350, with pickup in Blackpool area. I could do with every penny, with a new Edwards bass bone retailing at £4250 now!!! I seem to remember, this is what it cost me, and would look into postage if someone is very interested! Like I say, I hate to have to put this up for sale, but needs must unfortunately!! Sorry Merton!! I'd love to keep hold of it, hope you can see my reasons. I'll add more details soonish, and edit this thread as time goes on... If anyones interested anyway, please get in touch! Thanks very much! Best wishes, Matt p.s I reserve the right to remove from sale at any time!
Is this a full valve combo dude? -
