1.
That's great. It really shows the bass as a harmony instrument.
Harmony, melody and drive all at once.
 2.
We all spend so much time, money and energy in trying to achieve "great bass tone" and one of the all-time greats gets a sound like a £40 starter bass from Woolworths in desperate need of a set - up.
... and as you may be able to confirm Jack, at that time, a new Hofner was about £40 and did need a set-up.
 3. I 've begun to notice that the drop in output when the strangle circuit is engaged is highly affected by the tone control. With the tone at full there is little volume loss but when the tone is rolled off the loss in volume is substantial. Check out here, the fifth post down, for an apparent technical explanation - http://offsetguitars...start=1785#wrap
 4.
... I can't put flats on all three of my basses. Can I?
You can if you want to ... and they can even be different kinds of flats.
 5. I've never found this kind of change a problem. In fact 34" to short scale 30" on a Bass VI or up to 41" upright bass, it's just a different instrument. Same goes for 1.5" or 1.75" nut width. I think you'll cause more confusion by playing differently than by playing the same. However, you are right to think it's about a semitone diference because on a 34" scale bass the first fret is at 32.1"
 6.
I'll take a pics. It's a Moto's Battery 12V.
Ah ok. Thanks.
 7.
If you go to the PJB website and download the manual it gives specs to what the requirement is - I bought a battery for mine and it cost around £19.00 from memory. Here's a link: http://www.pjbworld....f/Briefcase.pdf
Yes. I am familiar with the amp as I have one myself. I was merely interested to know what battery you had fitted. Thanks again.

 9.
This amp ... comes with ... the 12V battery.
What model of battery have you fitted to the amp?
 10. And none of this will change how it sounds.
 11. Shell pink is fine but I'd go white pearl pickguard and white pickup covers.
 12. If you don't like compromising with other musicians then you need to go solo. When you're solo you will only need to compromise with the promoter and with the audience.
 13. It's obvious of course but piano left-hand.
 14.
Yeah I initially didn't bother reading this post until I realised the OP meant 'Celebs'...
I read it because I thought it said 'slabs'.
 15.
Elvis!
16.
Take a look at Post #10 ... weird or what?
Very weird.
 17.
But what size drivers is he playing through?
They look quite small to me.
 18. The TU2 works fine in my experience. But if your tuner is not capturing the E string try tuning at the octave harmonic on the E string. Most tuners will capture that note without problem.
 19. Very good. I like the idea of the lipstick alongside the mudbucker and I agree on the aesthetics of moving it to be properly in line.
 20. My son's first electric guitar was the Epiphone SG Special with the same pickup and controls arrangement.
