  3. ... unless you don't want to put flats on in which case no. I'd be trying some Thomastik Jazz Flats. Because of the tailpiece you might need JF344 longscale rather than the medium scale JF324s. Really needs measuring.

  6. Pickup cover also acted as a rest for the heel of the hand when using the tugbar.

When it was with me it was sporting Hammon Dark Star pickups and was thunderous. I did a lot of gigs with a 60s covers band using it and enjoyed it very much. Definitely short scale though.

Thick bodied Mark I with Hagstrom Bisonic single-coils and master volume: The Mark II has a thinner body than the Mark I: Sheryl Crow with Mark II - Guild Humbuckers and no master volume: As hinted at already, I think you'll want more pics in your ad (especially at that price). Where are you based?
  14. I'm no expert here, but the more I look at it, the more it looks like a MkI with a replacement pickup in the bridge. I don't think MkIIs had the master volume control on the lower horn, did they? Is the body hollow?
  15. Out of my price range I'm afraid but interesting to see one of these for sale at all and interesting to see that it has one Hagstrom Bisonic single-coil pickup (MkI) and one Guild humbucker (MkII).

  18. Flat - then adjust for the room I'm in if necessary. If an amp doesn't sound good flat then I wouldn't want it.

  20. I think you'll find that if it isn't packed properly then the insurance won't cover it - it will be in the small print of the contract.
  21. I did one last October. Asked to stand in at about 8.40pm and on stage at 9.00pm. I vaguely knew some of the songs but it was very nerve-racking and there were plenty of mistakes but we got through and the band got booked back.

[/quote] I know nothing about Sterlings but I can't see that problem. If the magnet was so powerful that it prevented the string from vibrating then lower the pickup. Anyway, you could try La Bella 760FL (light guage) or even 760FX (extra light).
