1.
Very rarely see these come up for sale. Bidding already quite high (nearly £800) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROB-ALLEN-MOUSE-30-B...#ht_2030wt_1141
I've been watching that since Wednesday and I don't suppose I'm the only one.
 2.
Just made a phonecall, but couldn't reach him. I'll get back to you as soon as I know.
OK thanks
 3.
I really think it's easy to remove or move them. 'My' local luthier did put them on without any problems. If you're really interested I can ask hem to remove them if you like. Please let me know. Kim
How were they done? Was it drilled and then filled or are they merely stuck on the surface?
 4.
Don't have the money to buy it, so feel free not to answer. But what is it? Never seen a bass like this before - do you play it upright or like a guitar?
Here's one being played: It also has an end-pin if you want to play it upright.
 5.
They are placed between the frets (I chose for that position, because personally I prefer them there)
Ok, thanks. I would have been interested but I'd be uncomfortable with that arrangement.
 6.
Dots are placed (professional) on the side of the neck.
The first dot looks too close to the nut to be at the first 'fret'. Are the dots placed on or between the 'frets'?
 7.
you want me to drive all the way to dundee AND only cash on collection or bank transfer ? 1110681310198 on fleabay
eBay says 'Your search returned 0 items' for that number. Give us a clue as to what it is.

 9. I too would like to volunteer to be banned from Off Topic.
 10.
Apart from your particular Squier model, I've only other Fender jazzes to have equal sized pickups have been early Mex ones. I reckon all recent Fenders and Squiers will have the USA type sizes where the bridge pickup will be slightly longer.
The Squier CV Jazz certainly has the two sizes - bridge slightly wider.
 11.
Just lately I have been getting a few tunes from sheet music (proper notation!) but rarely have I seen anything with a key signiture....unless I'm looking in the wrong place? example: I worked out that this must be F major...I say must be, it has a Bb and F maj seems to work, the tune isn't important...unless I need to purchase the actual music and then I get the key?
That's key signature of C major - no sharps or flats.
 12.
The Beiber gig is just another day job. The money you earn at your day job is what allows you to do the things you really like.
I really like my day job and also it allows me to do other things I really like. If I could earn enough from playing music as a day job I'd be happy to do that too.
 13.
I know this has been done before but hasn't everything? What do you use for practising at home / playing along to music? I just bought and returned a Phil Jones Bass Buddy which I really liked and may buy another cos it'd be useful as a back up at gigs but before I do, I thought I'd just weigh up my options. I can't make my mind up whether to buy a nice combo that'll take my MP3 player or buy something like a Bass Buddy to use with headphones.
I'm considering a Bass Buddy too. At the moment I'm using a Tascam MP-BT1 but as I rarely use the effects and other facilities available so I'm thinking it would be easier to plug my computer or iPod straight into a Bass Buddy.
 14.
Sure, why not? If the tune is good and along the same lines as the rest of the set, you may find a lot of people wouldn't even notice. When we pick songs the only criteria is, do we do it well, does it sit aside the rest of the set and is it a good tune? A good song is a good song is a good song.
+1

 16.
If you answer "Other" to question 3 you can't submit the form.
Yes, I gave up because it wouldn't allow the answers I wanted.
 17. About 40% songs written by band members and 60% written by not band members. I don't think of the latter as covers - we play our own arrangements of them. The trick, I think, is to make it all sound like one band and for all the songs to be good.
 18.
Cool, thanks for the info. Is there any good books about Jamerson or the Funk Brothers?
Motown: The View from the Bottom by Jack Ashford (vibraphone and tambourine)
 19. Despite our bad reviews of the reviewer, for those who might be interested, according to Lakland the Skyline version is now in prototype and should available from the autumn.
 20. Less stable with a J than with a P and no good if anyone is crashing round the stage but I've been using them for about a year with no accidents so far.
 21.
Gotta love Paco De Lucia. It was his brother who was the bass player in his band if I remember correctly. Never liked the look of the Gibson basses myself but played a stunning fretless one once. It sounded as big as a house.
I had a fretless Ripper for a while. It did make a big sound.
 22.
Golf, A good walk ruined. Winston Churchill.
If Winston ever said that, he got it from Mark Twain. Winston said: 'Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose'.
 23. And a very similar Gibson Ripper banana bass:
