In fact I've never changed a set of flats because I thought I needed fresh strings. So the value for money is excellent.

My first bass was a 1960s 185 Artist 30" scale, like this: The reissue is 34", like this: I doubt that they sound very similar and I'd say it's disappointing that they didn't stick to the short scale. However the reissue may be a nice bass.
