  1. Thank you, it is fantastic and I cannot see point of just owning it, it should be gigged as intended ! It will be a sad day but someone needs to use it regularly !
  2. And you are so close.............geographically speaking !
  3. A rare opportunity to get one of the most prized Rics, made in 1999 and the V63 was discontinued early in the new Millenium. This has been owned by a number of BCers and is an outstanding bass which has been relegated to its case following the acquisition of my Celinder Jazz bass which covers all my needs (apart from my Gibson EB3's) Compared with both my previously owned 4001 and my 4003 this bass really does feel like an authentically old instrument. It also has a lovely neck. with dot markers and the only issue are the two small dinks in the back of the neck which have become part of the feel as opposed to a problem. The sounds are typical Ric due to the Toaster and Horseshoe pick ups and the bass is mono only. Case is also immaculate and hardly used as I transport my basses in Mono gig bags. £1400 to include delivery dowm A1/M1 corridor, NW, NE and WM and elsewher meet or courier at buyers expense. These basses go for much more in US so chance for a bargain to a luck BCer Photos lifted from Beedsters advert so hope he doesn't mind. Collection/try out in E Yorkshire welcome
  4. Have interest in my basses but nothing concrete yet..............!
  5. Hi Chris Have you thought of a career in sales? I have had 3 interesting PM's since you got involved !!!! Mine is also an SJ200, good try Cheers John
  6. I am amazed that no one is looking for an ultra rare Rick, criminal as it is you could always fret it and have a V63 at this price!
  7. Wouldn't be seen without mine, great kit, good luck with sale
  8. I knew it would be painful for you.......if only you had a Gibson Hummingbird !
  9. Sorry about that, its typical you never see a Ric and loads come along at the same time !
  10. No interest in this outstanding fretless Ric ! maybe have to go to the Bay !!!!
  11. Have posted some further pics from Happy Jacks original ad when he sold it a few years ago>
  12. More pics are available on request just let me have the email address via a PM
  13. I have been wrestling with the Rick fretless occasionally and sadly cannot see me gigging it or unfortunately an eub..............thanks for the suggestion though !
  14. If I hadnt picked up the Celinder I would be keeping all 8 basses but it does seem overkill for it to sit in it's case, it is in remarkable condition and sounds great but should be enjoyed by someone and played regularly !
  15. To answer a PM re the fretboard it is rosewood and has no indentations or marks caused by roundwounds and is fitted with black nylon coated atrings at present. Somebody will fall in love with this bass I am sure, if my band played anything that I could remotely contemplate using it for it would remain in the herd !
  16. Rickenbacker and fretless are not words usually seen together............this is an outstanding bass particularly as it I in essence a 63 RI and sounds superb, I can compare it very favourably with my other 99 4001 V63 (also acquired from Beedster who knows his basses) Needs a new home and someone to lavish the attention it deserves, more pics available if needed.
  17. How many basses can we say that about! Thankyou
