TaySte - what's that tiny pedal between the Cream Pie and the Huckleberry? And is the 3-footswitch box in the top-left some sort of loop switcher? -

DHA's new blender is passive. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a passive design like that versus something like the Barge Concepts Blender? What other options are there (I only need a single blender)? -

Alex - who makes that blend looper in the bottom left of your board? Was it any good? -
I'd be interested to hear it with a bypassed phaser, delay and an engaged full on fuzz.
I use it to power 6 pedals which are mainly a combination of gain (overdrive) and modulation. There is no noise or hum that is generated from the power supply. That is to say, the level of noise from the pedals is the same as it is with batteries. The power supply adds no hum or noise. Clearly, if a pedal is intrinsically noisy, as a fuzz pedal may be, then it will not eliminate that noise. However, it won't make it worse or add hum as some cheap power supplies do.

.and *another* Power Supply question..!
ChocolateTelevision replied to wateroftyne's topic in Effects
It sounds like you're using an unregulated power supply. The power supply you're using IS powerful enough, but the noise will be because it's unregulated. In terms of power, you just need to make sure that what your pedal(s) need (in your case, 80ma) is lower than the maximum output of the power supply (360ma in your case). It is also inadvisable to run a power supply at maximum output for prolonged periods. So, a safe maximum for your 360ma power supply might be around 300ma. Try this power suppy which is regulated and great value: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 -
I just wonder what's the point of having a brick if you'll still have a transformer going into the plug (this goes for the Dunlop and Gator bricks as well)... Why not just get the wall wart and have a daisy chain instead of a brick and have less weight on ur board and more space...?
+1,000,000! I use one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 It's a lot more powerful than the power bricks as well as being tiny. I wouldn't fancy running 10 pedals off that power brick for any length of time... Unless you're wearing flameproof overalls!

Digitech Bad Monkey - you can pick one up for £20 on Ebay and it's absolutely awesome on bass. Does just what you want - adds a bit of grit. It's for light overdrive only and won't do all-out distortion. It outperforms its price tag by a MASSIVE margin!
