1.
that's the only vintage modified series of bass I haven't had..the amber and maple is THE best colour combo too. You shouldn't of sold me that Lake Placid and Maple MIMP I bought from you years ago Tom ...only for me to sell last year...I still miss that bass
Get a VM precision, you'll love it. Slight tweaks to suit me and I'm gigging it tomorrow! Love it to bits.
2. Now £475 delivered to UK mainland.
3. Ok well further to my problems, I ended up adding the extra and bought a discounted Squier VM Precision in Amber/maple from them. They gave me £30 off for my trouble too. The P bass is a different level for me, I am a dyed in the wool precision guy anyway. I did recently buy a new MIM P in white/maple and the only difference I can see is the Squier is a bit lighter! To my ears they both sound the same. Sure the MIM feels more solid but that's it. I have 5 basses and they're all maple boards. I like maple. Maple.
4. It's solid wood but not sure what though.
5. Here is my Squier body that I sprayed in yellow, it has a high mass type bridge, Squier pickup and decent controls. Neck pocket according to my vernier caliper is 64.2mm. £55 posted to uk. 6. Here's my Squier neck, Frets virtually unmarked, straight with no trussrod problems, tuners fine, couple of extra holes but the originals still fine. £45 posted to uk. 9. I do look at a lot of stuff on here and I thought I'd have a look with a view to buy. It's not until you get to the end of the thread that you realise how old it is so I just thought that it was better to PM. Sorry if I sounded rude, no offence intended, peace, love joy etc'
10. Please PM in future instead of cluttering the place up with 6 month old threads.
11. Everything Mac says is right. Mine is getting collected on tuesday because the neck has levelling issues and buzzes quite a bit. I have experience setting up basses and I can't get near with this one so they are sending me a new one and collecting the old one at the same time. I have to say DV247 is an excellent company to deal with, my emails are replied to very promptly and they don't mess you about, 10/10
12. As Discreet says, quality is very good. We used it in church to record a service with our band which has bass, drums, keyboard + 6 & 12 string guitars. Excellent results as you can record front & rear too. HTH. Tom.
13. Bump. Great little recorder.
14. I just used a fine file, VERY carefully then shielded the board and wire woolled the fret tops. works for me, they are better than they were.
15. Got mine at 5.30pm. Nice build quality apart from the sharp fret edges. I can fix that though. Oh and the strings are sh>te. There are a couple of buzzy points that I can't get rid of so the frets need a scrape & level (basss D&C?) other than that it's a belter for the money.
16.
My green J&D will be delivered tomorrow...
Oh arr so will mine
17. I've tried loads, cheap & dear but I always go back to my Precision. Looking for another as a backup. Even with small hands it just works for me. Simple person, simple bass.
18. As title, my Zoom H2 handy recorder, in excellent working order complete with all accessories. £80, would accept partial trades for either an SD SPB1 precision pickup and or a Fender deluxe gigbag in excellent condition. 19. I ordered one on saturday after reading about them, can't go wrong for that money.
