I've had this problem. I'm a fairly gentle player in a church band and sometimes you want to play quietly, which is when the main problem occurs. The E & A absolutely boom out and the D & G are barely audible. More noticeable on the quieter songs but still there at higher volumes. I've had about 5 P's and they were all the same. Just thought they were all like that.

Thanks all, sounds like a good bet then. GW, thanks for the advice on fitting, is the neck a tight enough fit to keep it still while you drill? what would you rest it on? What size drill? Sorry for all the questions but I haven't done it before.

I really wouldn't buy a USA if you get the CV, the difference just isn't worth it imo. At least wait and see. I'm blown away with mine.
