I've been shuffling along without guidance for about 2 years now, I played 12 string guitar for 45 years before that and then our bass player moved away so it was me or my wife.
Right me it is then luv
I learned where the notes are on the fretboard and practised running from one to the other in a kind of 'I walk the line' way and progressed a little from there making sure I used most of the neck in the process. Being a church group there isn't anything too taxing. I do have a little trouble not looking at the neck while playing and missing the odd note, I can't look at my music at the same time. It's only very occassionally though.
I need help really, can't and don't want to read music at my age but I have a very good ear.
Thanks guys. I have a very bad lower back, Sciatica on both sides, (that's a real bitch), a failed knee operation that no-one seems to know how to fix, I have Crohns Disease, I'm type one Diabetic and I've had a triple heart bypass.
I don't feel too bad considering all that's wrong with me there are people a lot worse off than me. I have a loving family and want for nothing.
Up for sale is my 1985 Fender Jazz '75 reissue, made in Japan.
Stunning condition for 26 years old!
The tuning pegs are tarnished with age but they seem to work well.
VERY deep powerful pickups that can rattle our windows, pots are very slightly scratchy but you can cure this with a spray of Servisol switch cleaner.
Truly wonderful to behold and I'm only selling to buy a new G&L.
There is a mark or slight scratch next to the bridge, you can see it in the pics.
I'm looking for £550 + carriage for this and it's worth it.
Thanks for looking.
I love my 57 reissue, I'm happy with one volume and one tone, nice and simple like me.
Neck size is fine but so is a Jazz or my G&L's. Just play the bloody thing
I can't remember which thread it was now but someone put a pic up of their new bass and everyone oohed and aahed at it.
It was a gorgeous bass but I pointed out that the strings ran off on the neck. The bridge on that was mis-aligned.
Ah thanks for your very kind comments guys,
I love the forums here, the support and knowledge is unsurpassed, I'm just an ordinary bloke that tries to do things fairly and properly.
Do unto others etc'
Manos just bought my G&L USA, wow, what a great guy to deal with, very fast payment, great prompt, polite & friendly emails.
A true gent, deal with confidence, I would happily trade again.
Thanks manos, it was a pleasure!
Tom.
Hi, this ad is for my Samson VR3 wireless guitar kit, it has its own custom case to keep it in.
I don't know squat about these except to plug it in and play without an umbilical cord.
I've only used it 3 or 4 times, each without incident. (This was with my Jazz bass).
Looking for about 50 quid or near offer.
cheers.
Thanks for your kind comments.
I don't know if I can bear to see this on here for long. I may withdraw it and hope for the best so if you're at all interested you better make a move soon.
Hi Eric, I really don't know what the future holds health wise, I have serious knee and back problems which are getting worse by the day.
I know I'm probably doing the wrong thing but I'm raising money to buy another volvo S60/V70 because they are just about the only car I can sit comfortably in, I should never have sold my S60.
So if anyone has one......
I will not be unhappy if I have to keep it, it'll just take a little longer to get a Volvo.
Hiya, I'm immensley sad to be selling this bass. I haven't had it long but I cannot justify hanging on to it because my health is going downhill and I won't ever be able to play it
Known as 'old red' this is a blade model from around 1981 and he is in amazing condition for his age.
There is a bit of buckle rash on the back but it hasn't broken the paint so it still looks great.
It comes with its original hardcase which is also in very good condition.
I'm looking for £475 for it, delivery an extra £15.
I'll leave you to drool at the pictures
Thanks for looking in.
