1. This is really rare, I only know of one other.

6. Anyone know what size socket fits the truss rod please? Did you find one Eric?
7. Good man! I've searched for my 'holy grail' for 2 years and found it with a G&L Tribute. In fact I love its versatility sooo much that I bought another! Both maple boards. I've owned (and still own) some really nice expensive Fenders but could never decide whether to take a Jazz or a P to church. Now it's no problem, I just have to decide what colour Glad you're pleased with your choice.
8. Yeah, I've had people say "you are very close to a deal!" and will you accept £x? they then disappear to see if they can afford it never to be heard from again
9. Withdrawn, sold my red one so I'm keeping this now. You missed a stunner.
10. Sold pending, thanks.
11. SOLD PENDING thanks.
12. I was going to keep this one but as my MIJ hasn't sold then this has to go. It was Lysdexia's and it is in stunning condition. It has a low action and plays like a dream. Usual spec for a USA Precision, also has S1 too. It willk come with it's shaped hardcase whci is in good condition. I want what I paid for it please which is £675. No offers or trades thanks as I need the loot I may change my mind so if you want it don't hang about. Thanks for looking.
13. Here is my CV 51 reissue P Bass. I've owned it for about 3 months and realised that it isn't ever going to get played. I must keep out of music shops, I was SO taken with how well and loud this is. It's just a stunning bass and you could gig anywhere with it. Here's the spec: Squier’s Classic Vibe Precision Bass ’50s delivers an authentic ’50s-era bass experience in sound, look and feel. The basswood body has a eye-catching Lake Placid Blue finish, and its custom “original” single-coil pickup delivers warm, earthy old-school Precision Bass tone. The gloss-maple neck has wider (1.65”) string spacing, a 20-fret fingerboard with a modern 9.5” radius and open-gear tuning machines. The four-saddle “HiMass” bridge makes the instrument easily user-friendly for setup and playability. Squier Classic Vibe 50s Precision Bass Features: Body : Basswood Neck : 1-Piece Maple, Modern “C” Shape, Fingerboard : Maple, 9.5” Radius (241 mm) No. of Frets : 20 Vintage Style Frets Pickups : Custom Original Single-Coil Precision Bass Pickup with AlNiCo 5 Magnets Controls : Volume, Tone Pickup Switching : None Bridge : 4-Saddle HiMass Bridge Machine Heads : Open Gear Tuning Machines Hardware : Chrome Pickguard : 1-Ply White Scale Length : 34” (864 mm) Width at Nut : 1.65” (42 mm) Gak have them for £319, they may be cheaper elsewhere but can I ask that you don't litter this thread up with discussions on prices please. If you have anything to say please PM me or whoever. Thanks. Check my feedback, I am safe to deal with and my gear is always as described. Looking for £235 delivered, it really is brand new and it's had a setup by a legend I don't have a gigbag, it didn't come with one, sorry. No trades thanks. Thanks for looking.
14.
I think the issue here was that Slaptone was clearly unhappy to have sold it for £600, he must have been in a jam because that is a giveaway. Then to see it here the next day for £750, he thinks he's been mugged off. Thats business, but I'd like to think it's not the way business is done round here. I've spoken to Dave privately and he did not intend to cause offence or upset, especially to Slaptone and he was under the impression that people regularly sold basses to make profit here. He asked me to make sure this matter is smoothed over, and having spoken with Dave in the past about other basses I do believe he is a genuine bloke who simply made an error of etiquette. Like I've said before, we all use this forum so we might as well do our best to ensure we give good deals to each other as it's ultimately to our benefit when we grab bargains here.
and there it should rest
15. There is no law to prevent the seller from divulging his sale price. It's a free country oh hang on, it USED to be a free country
16. If it's anything like my Jazz copy Retrovibe it'll be feckin' loud
17. I'm looking for one quite seriously but I wouldn't buy this on principle, and I suspect not many others would. Good luck with the sale.
18. I wouldn't tour with just a Squier bass, especially abroad. I have a 51 reissue P which is an awesome bass but....... Trouble is they're all over £100 so it's a non starter anyway
