  1. Crikey that's one of the nicest I've seen Rich. GLWTS.
  2. Hi thanks, it really is a good one. Now on hold until tomorrow night, sale pending. Must be a record! 29 min's
  3. Hello folks, me again. This is my Marcus Miller that is another reluctant sale. This bass as usual for me is in immaculate, unmarked condition save for a few playing marks on the scratchplate. It has all the MM features you would expect. It is well setup and plays wonderfully well. No hardcase with this but it'll come very well packed and in a Fender Gigbag. I want £650 for this delivered. It really is worth the money. Only trade I want really is another Fender, but a standard or deluxe Jazz, maple fretboard but in an unusual colour. I will of course add cash to the deal if warranted. Thanks for looking. Tom.
  4. Erm it says Stockport which is near Manchester.
  5. This is one of the last few of my stock from when I retired.: Here for sale is a brand new Burns Steer, totally unused with hard case and case candy. This is exactly the same as you can find elsewhere for £399 but mine is Much cheaper. There is nothing wrong with it at all, It is just stock I have left over from when I retired. Spec: 43mm nut width Burns deluxe machine heads Fingerboard 20 frets, 25.5" length Bolt on hardrock maple neck Bi flex two way type truss rod Burns Tri Sonic single coil neck pickup Classic polyester finish on basswood body Master volume, ideally positioned for violining Burns split humbucking pickup Burns deluxe bridge unit Three way pickup selector switch Two separate tone controls Coil tap switch This is without doubt a bargain. Yours delivered for £320! Thank you for looking.
  6. Would you accept £3 a month forever? (Private joke)
  7. Really, the marks are nothing on this bass. As the previous owner I can say with confidence that it left me as a great player, and it's had a top setup since then. Buy with confidence folks.
  8. While the pics of the bass support are stunning, I would like some decent close ups of the bass itself please? I'm 63 and still chase women but I can't remember why so I fill my life with music. Is there a cover for the err, pickup?
  9. Thanks for the suggestions, I have found a floor tuner that does the job great! Thanks very much for your prompt responses, isn't this a great place?
  10. Bump for a great bass!
  11. Just sold my P bass to Brent and the transaction was faultless. Great communication, very fast payment, all you can ask for. Thanks very much Brent, I'll happily deal with you again. Regards, Tom 1946
  12. I play mostly in churches and use a variety of mostly Fender basses. Trouble is churches have a lot of quiet moments and my Trace combo can be a bit noisy (quite normal) I can't easily reach the on/off switch to shut it up so it's getting to be a problem now. I know I could have a kill switch fitted to a bass but because I use about 7 different ones and my luthier is about 40 miles away it's not very practical. Is there some kind of pedal that would do this for me? I also realise that I could just turn the volume (s) down on the bass but it takes time to put them back where they were and that would be a guess. Might seem like I'm making a mountain out of a molehill but hey, we all have our idiosyncrasies. Any help greatly appreciated.
  13. That's well put, exactly what I mean
  14. Not sure if I'm in the right room for this but: Is it just me but when I look at adverts for basses I like to view the instrument pics from the 'wearing it' aspect, ie' with the neck on the right, body on the left. I have a bad neck so craning sideways to see what it looks like when worn is a nuisance. Most ads seem to have them the other way up or vertical. (Yes it's different for left handers I feel silly now
