The trouble is that there are a lot of well made chinese basses and guitars out there now, the market is awash with them and unless you have something different or very special it's a hard market place now. I have a new Crafter cruiser bass for sale here for what is peanuts, and it won't sell for almost half of its RRP and it's perfect in every way. Same with the Cort Action also on here.

Just to echo all the above, I've done another deal with Bob for my artisan and the same fast payment and great communication. Hope you enjoy it Bob, thanks again. Tom.

This is my Fender Strat, crafted in Japan around 2005/6. I have to sell all of my guitars now because I can't play any more due to arthritis. This is in outstanding, unmarked condition, not a mark or blemish anywhere I can see. There is no fretwear either. Specification: Body Ash Neck Maple one piece, Soft V profile, 324mm Scale Fretboard Maple, 184mm/7.25in Radius Frets 21, Vintage Style Nut Width 42mm Pickups Custom Shop 50s (U.S.A.) x3 Control&Switch 1 Vol, 2 Tone, 5 Way Switch Bridge Steel block Vintage Machine Heads Kluson style Hardware Chrome Pickguard 1-Ply White Ash is a wonderful tone-wood and this guitar has a nice, lively, well defined acoustic tone and resonance. Plugged in the sound is pure vintage Strat; clear as a bell with that wonderful 'out of phase' type tone in positions 2 and 4. This guitar has Fender US Custom Shop 50s pups - you won't get closer to the classic early-Strat sound - the pickups are superb. This guitar also comes with a steel tremolo block, which adds that little extra zing and sustain. This is my absolute favourite of the maple fret board Strats. It is a model they do not make any more... unfortunately. Here you have classic Strat style and sound, superb condition and at a very reasonable price bearing in mind that the US Custom Shop version would cost at least twice the amount! I want £550 for this. It's what I paid for it and it's been hardly used. There is no case with it but it will be in a gigbag and packed very securely. Delivery £20.

Hi all, this is my Precision Lyte, it's a 1993 model and it is in amazing condition for its age. In dark red with gold fittings it looks stunning, there is no fretwear at all. It is also fitted with gold straplocks which will be included. There are one or two very small marks but you'll have to hunt for them as they're not really photographable. (wow, big word huh) There is a small chip on the headstock but that's it. It has a lightened profiled body and it is very easy to hold and is in no way tiring. The electronics are active only, featuring master volume, pan, bass boost/cut and treble boost/cut. The electronics work as they should and run quietly producing a wide range of tones from fat bass to slap. I am selling because I now have a MIJ Precision that weighs about the same. This will come in a gigbag and will be very securely packed. I want £340 delivered for this because of its condition and the new Ritter gigbag. No trades on this, sorry. Thank you for looking. PS sorry about the dust speckles I forgot to wipe them off

Hi all, I have just bought an MIJ Precision and am not impressed with its output, it seems quite low. I've checked the wiring and it seems ok so I'm going down the route of a new pickup. I'm very impressed with Wizard jazz pickups so I'm going for either a Thumper or the Area 51 stealth bomber. Anyone had experience of either? I do like a lot of bottom end but I also like to be able to lighten it off a bit too. Any comments or advice very welcome

Mine just arrived, an ebay purchase. 1989 dark red with gold fittings and absolutely mint condition. Very well cared for too. Can't believe how light it is after my other fenders. It has black nylon strings fitted and consequently there is no fretwear at all! I can't cope with them so it'll be getting restrung pretty quickly.

I have the same problem! I've just bought a Jap P bass from 1993: this one: http://www.fareastguitars.co.uk/usedpb1.htm It weighs 7.7 lbs! light as a feather after my US models so they are out there if you search a bit. I'm also waiting for a Fender P bass Lyte to arrive that I bought off ebay.

Hi folks, this is my Cort Artisan B4, it is a new bass but it has a small graze on the back, not huge but it is noticeable. I have pictured it and it can't be seen when playing. SPEC' Construction Bolt-on Body Swamp Ash, Mahogany Neck Wenge/maple 5pc, Modern 'C' Shape Neck Width 1F: 40mm/ 24F: 64mm Neck Thickness 1F: 20.5mm, 12F: 22mm Fingerboard Rosewood, 15 3/4" Radius (400mm) Fret 24/ large (2.7mm) Inlay Abalone Dot Tuner Hipshot lic. Scale 34" (864mm) Nut Graphite Black Bridge EB12(4) Pickup Bartolini MK1-4/F & MK-1-4/R Control Bartolini MK-1 EQ/ 1V, 1 blend, 3-band, EQ on-off S/W As you can see it has all the right bits on it and with the swamp ash and monogamy body not too heavy either. I was going to keep it for my main bass but I've managed to buy a Fender Lyte AND a 1993 MIJ Precision with an ash body the weighs just 7.75lbs with a maple board so that ticks all my boxes. Sold with a gigbag as always with me. You can get these on t'internet for around £450, I'd like £250 delivered, which is a bargin! Thank you for reading.
