  1. Oh the Ray. Now it's down in price I may be in touch.
  2. Thanks Chilli, I'm finally getting to where you are as I was a usa P bass man but my current stingray as you say does it all. It only weighs 8.3 lbs and it's perfect. I'll check the special out. Cheers. Tom.
  3. 260 quid for a set of nut files?
  4. @triplebass I think they paint it pink and then somehow lacquer the paisley transfer on? I may be wrong, I was wrong once in 1947.... Fender don't do them anymore, this is from 1993-4. Very rare beast nowadays and quite collectable..
  5. Why stop at 50% ?
  6. The only trade I'm interested in is a Stingray 2eq, maple board, 9lbs max. Must be excellent condition. Will add cash for the right one.
  7. Thanks guys, they really are special. It just lights up my music room.
  8. ** Apparently the guitar dater project is inaccurate, my bass was made in 2002-2004. Apologies I went by the info on said site** Makes no difference, it's still a mint bass. Hi all, This is my immaculate Pink Paisley bass, it dates to 2002 - 2004. There are no marks, dings etc' just a lovely example of this bass, hence the price. It has reverse tuners and for the size of the single pickup it sounds immense. It will come with a padded gigbag and delivery is included in the price. If it doesn't sell I'll just keep it, thanks for looking. Tom. PS, I didn't take the pics looking like this.....
  9. Thanks guys, I wondered why it's corroded so much, seems expensive for what it is though.
  10. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ernie-Ball-TRANSITIONAL-Musicman-Stingray-4-3-EQ-Bass-Honeyburst-1980s/123932025681?hash=item1cdaeca351:g:X4IAAOSwJcNdm4xK Apart from the tarnishing does anyone see any untoward with this? cheers.
  11. Thanks guys, appreciate your comments. I'm looking for a 2eq with a maple board and 4 strings and a sensible weight, really hard to find. This info now gives me a lot more scope. Tom.
  12. I know all things are possible but would it be straightforward to convert a Stingray 3 eq to a 2eq? Anyone done it? How hard can it be? thanks for any input.
  13. Oh dear, they should stop making videos and concentrate on customer service methinks.
  14. I think once I've got over it I'll probably forgive them. I had pneumonia at the time...
  15. Glad it's not just me, very perceptive Machines, I bought it as a backup because I can't find another used Stingray. Once shops mess me about I won't use them again. Strangely enough I buy more stuff from gear4music than anywhere else. Tip top service. (For me anyway)
  16. Now that's really tempting...
  17. It is Owen, plenty more gas though.....
  18. Well, an update to buying this bass. It had a faulty EQ in that the active/passive switch crackled and buzzed so I rang and they said no problem we'll exchange it 3rd of Jan' So I waited in all day and rang them (Andertons) at about 4pm to check that they were still coming to exchange the bass and there was a wait while he checked. When he came back he said there was no record of this! I then said look just pick this one up and refund me, you've wasted my day. He was very apologetic and said that he would exchange it on Monday. I'm sorry but by then my faith had totally evaporated so I said no. Shame on you Andertons!
  19. I did see it, can't fail to see that. If it was maple it would have been mine. So many toys so little time..... Frank, it's only fair that I share my good fortune with the good people of Basschat
  20. Hahaha will do Frank, They have them for a stupid price at the moment, should be £676, Andertons have 3 left at £499!!!! Mine arrived today and I'm getting used to it, colossally powerful is the first observation, back later when I work out what all the switches do....
  21. I've never seen anything like this before, they're usually dull black and blue or sunburst. I stupidly sold my last one which was amber, daftest thing I ever did. What do you mean about the pad Doc'?
  22. Just seen these yesterday and arriving Monday, can't wait! Perfect colour and lovely maple board, did.t even know they made them. I'll do a write up when it arrives..
  23. Stunning Stingray! I'm still looking for a 2 eq that weighs under 9lbs sadly. This should fly right away, it's gorgeous. GLWYS
