1. This is a Volcano (dormant obviously) practice amp for sale, new and unused. Model GL20B so I guess it's probably 20watt. Works fine. Really solid well made little thing. I'd Like £35 delivered if anyone's interested.
2. Pics man? No-one buys anything without pics
3.
To sit in a bar with that bass through that amp and knock out some lazy blues - harmonica player , bloke with a 335 , fantastic. Subtle improvement with the pup too. Nice.
That is a great mental image! Bump
4. Aye it is Jason, for goodness sake buy it, you'll love it!
5. Morning all, quick question, what does a marcus weigh please? Thinking about one but the word 'Ash' scares me Are they very heavy then? Thanks. Tom.
6. Hiya there, I'm just up the road in Guisborough, I play in a church band. Was a 12 string player for many years then the arthritis set in so I've been doing bass for about a year now. Anyway, welcome along! Tom.
7. A friend of mine who has a shop selling old things, bought a 3 grand 1962 P bass off a woman who found it in the loft after her hubby died. The description was a little too detailed for an old woman.. Showed me it and asked what I thought, my first question was 'how did you pay for it?' It was as original as a not very original thing, looked like a roughed up mex to me. Why do people hand over silly money to someone they've never met on an auction site?
8. Come on guys this is a great bass for £120 DELIVERED! This is a no brainer, a new Crafter Cruiser Active Bass with just a passing resemblance to a Rikky. With a solid hardwood body, with a bubinga top and back veneer. Styled loosely on the body shape of Rickenbacker with it's elongated top horn. The neck is a bolt on maple number, and has a super fast rosewood fingerboard. A simple two volume and two tone controls set up, to look after the pair of de-luxe active Cruiser CX bass pickups It has a full size 34 inch scale length, with 24 jumbo frets. For this money it is a seriously good bit of bass kit, and the perfect entry to the bass player looking for the active option. It has an excellent action and is quite light. These are on Ebay for £170 so at £139 & free delivery, this is a bargain. Thanks for looking.
9. If it helps I have the Jazz version of this in red and have to say for the money (Mine was £139) they are a bargain! let alone with an SD : Come on someone this is a steal. No really!
10. Pete's just been and bought my Warwick Rockbass. Top guy, we had a good natter over a cuppa. Really nice to deal with, great player too! Thanks Pete.
11. You can never have too many bass's, Oh hang on my wife begs to differ Nice guitar Bob, tempting.
12. Can't see it? is it in your name?
13. Oh right, wasn't aware of that thanks. On the cab side then does no-one rate ashdown cabs? Why? What's better in the same price range?
14. Hi guys, as title. Anyone use the little B? any good? bear in mind this is for church use and I'm looking for bottom end that doesn't sound muddy or that you're listening to it with half blocked ears. Do you know what I mean here? I'm competing with keyboard, drums and 2 electro acoustic guitars so not your average church! For a cab I'm looking at the Ashdown MAG410T 4x10 Deep Blackline Bass Speaker Cab. Now these are available with blueline speakers as well so which is better? Any thoughts, comments or alternatives very welcome. Bear in mind I currently play a USA Precision or a Jazz. I don't want lots of sliders, eq's etc' because I'd never use them. KISS and all that.
