1. Thanks porkpie, I will if I ever down there. I agree the jap flower bass was great in terms of weight but Ann didn't fancy standing next to me or being associated with me using it. Pedulla's look amazing. So many toys, so little time! Took my Gibson SG along to practice last night and can't get on with it at all. I thought short scale bass for a short scale bloke? much prefer Fenders. Plus although the gibbo is light and has huge bottom end grunt it's neck heavy and the strap button is in a silly place. Guess that'll be going next
2. Hi, I'm selling this: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=cort+curbow It's great!
3. Gorgeous, how light? do you know the weight?
4.
Blimey that's nice, would make a good stable mate for my translucent orange J, but alas no space and no funds, but good luck with your sale.
Blimey someone else with a sunset orange! Great aren't they?
5. Thanks for the positive comments. Myke, you don't want to see it
6. Ok this has to go so I'll accept £675 including delivery. Then it's being withdrawn if it doesn't sell. back up for sale again as buyer had to back out. This is one of my two USA Jazz bass's. I REALLY don'y want to sell this but needs must as I need a light weight bass now due to health problems. MAKE AND MODEL: Fender Jazz, finished in white with the grain showing through, very much like marbling and it looks stunning. Maple neck and fingerboard. I have fitted straplocks too. CONDITION: Unmarked. Immaculate, no discernible fretwear. Fitted with Fender chrome covers. SETUP: Very well set up, low action and very playable. SUMMARY: Whoever buys this will earn my undying hatred because it's such a good bass Comes with a Fender shaped hardcase which is in good condition. Please don't ask for a picture of it because it's in the loft and I have a bad knee and you all know what they look like. I also own the same model in trans orange which is going to be buried with me. PRICE: £700 + postage of £10. Not negotiable I'm afraid. Thanks for looking.
7. I briefly had a Dano 63 long scale in red and hated it, it was too light and if you like the deep sound of a usa jazz then it don't work for me. Status looks awesome, not sure about the upper bout going that far along the neck, that's very close to where I play, agree they look awesome though. I COULD saw some bit's off my Jazz, maybe even drill some holes but......... I think the fender lyte looks promising, can you still get them new?
8. Yup, monster. Million miles away though... Is there a reason for the big fan pointing at the amp I wonder
9. Thanks. Some very interesting options being put forward here, is balance really that vital to comfort? Please remember I've only been playing for about a year so I know very little hence the need for advice. That Traben sounds interesting....
10.
Ditto on that - could we use this as a sort of template for future ads?
Yup, a car website I frequent has a for sale template which is great for those that bother.
11. Super bass, super advert. Wish everyone's were as clear & well written.
12. I have one, they are fantastic in the flesh, they really are. Put some hi res pics and it'll sell very quickly!
13. Thank you all for your replies, it's a marvellous friendly place this! I was told by my osteo feller not to play the bass as it is exacerbating my lower back problem. Right then. I like the sound of the Fender Lyte, that would probably do it for me. Is there a maple option I wonder....... Hohner B2A, I tried one and couldn't get away with the smallness of it, what's a Jack bass?
14. Hiya! Just got back from church and a fairly long set and my back is shot. I play using a Fender Jazz USA with a maple neck and I love it to bits, but, it weighs more than Manchester SO I'm going to have to look around for something lightweight, it'll have to be based on a Jazz and will have to have a maple fingerboard too. I'm getting too old for all this gigging but I have to do it. Anyone got any recommendations please? Budget up to £1k Any advice very welcome. (the rest of the band are offering the 'old codger' a chair to sit on.
15. I assume then the fish won't come off without detriment to the finish?
16. How old is it please? Any fretwear? Low action? (it would need to be for me.)
17. Sorry, fainted, that's my dream machine, fantastic!
18. That's really clear Ped, What camera & lens?
19. Thanks Al, couldn't agree more, I have 3 now and my wife thinks that's one too many.
20. Last bump before oblivion. This really is a great bass, still has the hang tags on it. You won't be disappointed with it.
