  1. I bought this recently and have to say it has a great tone and plenty of power for practice and coffee shop gigs. The compression on it is very good and useful for a bit more beef. This is where the but comes in for me, the gigs I play at are usually churches which can be quite big or quite small so I'll need a bit more output than this has so it's up for sale for what I paid for it. It's in mint condition and comes with all leads and a pedal for turning the compression on or off. Postage is £7, or free collection from TS148PB. Thanks for reading. would part ex for similar size amp with more power.
  2. I love these Mike, I don't know if I could manage 5 strings...
  3. Shame you're so far away Rich, I'd have it if you'd courier it.
  4. Thanks very much guys, Great info, I am going to try some of the strings suggested. Watch this space.....
  5. Great info guys, thanks. The strings I tried were 34" scale and I was careful about where I cut the end so I didn't have 34 turns around a very narrow capstan. They still snapped though. I'm wary of buying any more until I know they won't snap again. Roundwounds are no problem, ever.
  6. Thanks guys, the tuner capstan is small on the ibanez mezzo so I guess that's the problem, it started to tighten then unravelled. I only tried 2 strings and they both did the same thing, I cut the length in the usual way so I don't know where to go with this now. Any ideas on how to fit flats on a 32 scale? Where can I get the right strings? Thanks.
  7. Thanks for that, This is the second set and it's done the same thing, I tried Olympia first then Adagio and both did the same thing, the string unravelled then snapped. Not sure what to do now.... Tom.
  8. Yes I am, I couldn't find any for a 32" scale, is that the problem do you think? Thanks.
  9. Can anyone explain to me why when I've tried to fit a new set of flatwounds to my 32" scale Ibanez, every string snaps at the tuner when I try to tighten the string? Normal roundwounds are no problem. I'm at a loss. Thanks.
  10. Was mine, it's a cracking bass even as standard, if you like 32" scale, just buy it it's a great bass. GLWTS.
  11. I have had this bass on loan for a week and can attest to it being fabulous to play, light as anything and I have a glass back. You won't regret buying this. GLWTS Pete.
  12. This is my immaculate Squier Jaguar, bought to do something different with but never happened. Has a great action, sounds good. It's 32" scale. Reduced, now £145
  13. Can you post it to teesside please? I've sent loads of combos with a courier.
  14. Thanks for the input guys, there's a lot to think about here so I'll look through all the suggestions and make a decision.
  15. Looking for a good not too expensive electro acoustic bass. Anyone recommend any particular one or ones to avoid please? Thanks.
  16. Hi yes it is, pm would be better if possible, thanks. I missed your question, sorry.
  17. Here we have a pair of Peavey PR12's, in excellent condition with slipover covers. Only used for about 6 performances at fairly big venues. They were used with a Yamaha powered mixer and they sounded great. Spec' here: https://assets.peavey.com/literature/specs/116536_13931.pdf Briefly they are rated at 400 watts / 800 peak They have 1/4 jack or speakon connections (the leaflet attached doesn't show speakons in and out but mine has them. They can be shipped at extra cost. Thanks for looking.
  18. Ahh no good to me then, I was born in 1946... Man I was 14 then when that beautiful bass was made. GLWTS.
  19. My wife heard a great sounding chorus pedal and she would like something similar, I have a cheap UC 200 chorus and it's rubbish. Do you guys have any recommendations please? Maybe even a good multi effects box. Thanks chaps.
