  1. @Linus 27, you still have my best bass ever! After all this time I have never found a better one. A Teal and Maple Stingray. I still need it back
  2. Yes this was my bass, bought it new and the weight immediately killed it so it went to Harry. I've only just seen this thread today. Hats off to you Andy, that's an amazing conversion sir I have 2 new Harley Benton Stingray-alikes sitting in my loft bedroom gathering dust because they are boat anchors, one is the 2 pickup version. Fantastic sounding basses but no good to me. What kind of cost is involved in just removing weight without all the painting and cover making? Otherwise they'll be going up for sale.
  3. Another OBBM fan here, have 4 of them now and they're bombproof, just ordering another for my wireless kit....
  4. Pawel bought my SUB ray, fast easy transaction, great friendly comms, we kept in touch all the way. Brilliant transaction and a credit to basschat. Thanks Pawel. Tom.
  5. I've just looked as well, too heavy for my 72 year old back. GLWTS, awesome cab.
  6. Thanks again guys, I sent an email with a question and Chris answered it within minutes, can't ask for better than that. Shame it won't be here until next thursday but really looking forward to it. Does it come with the short cable to connect it to my Trace amp?
  7. Hi, are you sure the weight is correct? I have the cmd 151 1x15 combo and it's 20 lbs lighter than that. That's just a speaker cab. Any thoughts?
  8. Well I'm convinced so I'm ordering one, the other contender was the line 6 but the youtub reviews were awful in that the plastic clip on the back snaps off very easily and is shoddily made.
  9. Hi, has anyone used this wireless system on a bass? It says it's for guitar but.... cheers, Tom
  10. Your camera appears to have cataracts in the top photos Great bass though, I had one and stupidly sold it. GLWTS.
  11. Another UPS fan here, credit where credit's due I haven't had a serious problem in years of use.
  12. Great stuff! I got things muxed ip there Let us know how you get on and what you think.
  13. I wonder if they are heavy?
  14. Thanks guys, ended up buying the Art promix and it's perfect.
  15. Good choice Hookey, I've modded 3 of these now. Changed the necks for their 35 quid maple board ones, had to dress the edges of the frets, (whaddya want for 35 quid?) but it's no big deal. All 3 necks are straight and true. One of them has a Dimarzio dp 127 and it's absolutely brilliant! Got John on here to make me a proper loom for it and fitted an expensive Schaller bridge and I have a really good P bass that I would put up against any other P bass. All 3 weigh 6.1 lbs each. The others are configured a bit differently. No neck dive either although lightweight tuners are fitted. The necks are only 61mm but their maple ones are too so no problem. hope that helps. **edit** your MIM neck probably won't fit as they are 63mm?
  16. I think Cetera on here had or still has a double P bass for sale, can't remember what it was tho..
  17. What's the weight please?
  18. This is beautiful, very tempting!
  19. Yes, some earlier models were a bit loud and the preamp was pretty useless. These are a much better bass in every respect.
  20. Yes you did sir, my fingers are shot with arthur ritis and I'm struggling to play anything at the moment.
  21. The only song I know from that lot is baggy trousers and I wouldn't know how to play it. Am I too old now?
  22. Hi Morris, I do need a smaller solution hence the Art, I don't want to drag my Yamaha mixer down there really. Thanks for the input.
  23. That looks perfect, I can't see any drawbacks with it? It won't be plugged into a mixer, just and aux input on a big powered speaker.
