  1. I have a couple of shure 57's and you reckon they'll do the job? I'll go and try it, cheers Jack.
  2. Hiya, can anyone recommend a good pickup for making my Cajon louder please? I looked at the AUDIX 60 but it's nearly 200 quid, is there a cheaper way? Thanks for your help. Tom.

Another new bass just arrived @ chez Anderson. This is a sterling sub 4 in minty green and is in as new condition. It has been upgraded with an EMG MM TW pickup and active circuit (£100) or so and it sounds really good although not as loud as the original, but the sound is much more defined and controllable. It has a push pull volume which I haven't really explored yet, the other acts as a tone. the original pickup and circuit are in there too along with a very good hard/soft case. All for £210.
  4. Ah yes, that's my new Microwave amp amp, pushes out 850 watts AND cooks you lunch at the same time. Got it new with our motorhome but never needed it, whoever buys the drum kit can have it free.
  5. For sale is my Gear4music 430 drum kit, used for about 30 mins before I realised that I'll never be a drummist so I'll stick with bass and sell it on. It comes with all the kit in the advert plus I will include a Stagg 30w acoustic amp and a connecting cable so you're ready to play. https://www.gear4music.com/Drums-and-Percussion/Digital-Drums-430-Electronic-Drum-Kit-Package-Deal/1E61 l'll leave it set up so you can try it. Thanks for reading.
  6. You do realise that perfect pitch is related to Banjos?? When you lob one into a skip it mustn't touch the sides as it goes in..... hence perfect pitch? oh never mind.
  7. FWIW I used to solder my joints but now I only use KiOgon's looms, they are so strongly made using excellent quality parts as mentioned above, it's not worth bothering yourself.
  8. Thanks guys, I couldn't find a neck anywhere, don't know even who sells them John. My good friend Aidan is going to sort it for me. Cheers for the help. tom.
  9. Hi all, I have a ray sub 4 with a broken headstock, could anyone suggest a way of clagging it back together again please? so that it would last. (Clagging) technical term
  10. Hiya, is this a fender fit? What's the nut width please? cheers, Tom.
  11. Sold Chris my beautiful Antigua bass. Paid extremely quickly with friendly emails. Great guy and a credit to basschat. Cheers Chris and thank you. Tom.
  12. Thanks guys, I still have a new Precision and a brand new Jazz of the same colour. They are excellent basses.
  13. Hi all, here is my Antigua P bass which is in stunning condition. It has a low action and plays perfectly. I have 2 of these and am having to sell one because our Motorhome's gearbox is short of a 2nd gear, had to take it 183 miles to Glasgow as he is the only one who has the parts and a lift high enough to carry out the work. Anyway I want what I paid for it back, delivery to the UK is included in the price. Pics:
  14. No worries, GLWTS it's a bargain for that.
  15. Thanks Mick, hope so. My wife's holidays are ticking away and no motorhome
  16. PRICE DROP to £200 posted. One and only drop, if this bass doesn't sell for for that then it'll be withdrawn and kept by the side of my bed as a burglar deterrent. Hi all, selling a couple of my basses as the gearbox on my Motorhome has shaken off it's mortal coil and died. So here is the first, it's a Squier Dimension in translucent red with of course the maple board. it's in immaculate, as new condition. Even the cellophane on the scratchplate is still there. These have a powerful modern sound but can still do down and dirty. The price is posted to the UK No trades because of the above, sorry.

Some great ideas here, I love that guitar Graham. I like the idea of having one built with my birthdate as the serial number I started playing bass when my arthur ritis started in 2010..... that's an easy one.
  18. I'm a Fender man and I've made a few too. I had the same problem ie' the E sounding lame and I have tried all the tricks and tips but I found a partial cure, I changed the P pickup to a Dimarzio DP 127 on KiOgon's recommendation, much more powerful and the bottom E is much more 'tuneful' and accurate.
