Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. The steinbergers are very light but I can't cope with the shape of them. There are so many options that my head is spinning at the minute Then there are the Danelectro's.....

I've tried short scale Marc and the notes aren't where I put my fingers I'm looking at a Cort GB74 which weighs 7.7 lbs but it's an unknown quantity. Playing is part of my church life and my wife plays 12 string guitar and is the worship leader so I need to find a solution somehow.

I make no apology for the price of this bass because they are getting collectable and this has some great mods. NOW £325 POSTED. The neck on these is absolutely amazing, best of any that I've ever played. It's thin and very easy to get around. The mods I've made are: Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickup which has a lot of grunt and I find it very articulate too. Also there is a KiOgon loom which is solderless and has the vintage tone setup. I think the pickguard looks amazing and I'm happy to provide the old slightly broken 'guard and the loom with the deal. The pickup is gone I'm afraid. The action is low and it will come with a gigbag too. Weight is 8lbs 13ozs. Hi folks, here is my beautiful Sunset Orange P bass for sale, almost immaculate but for a cymbal nibble on the headstock. I bought it from Karlfer of this parish and he said there were some small marks here and there but I can't find any, maybe my eyesight is going. It looks stunning to me with its maple board and it plays really really well but I'm struggling again with my back so although I love using it I'm waking at 2 in the morning with bad backache after playing so this and some others are having to go I don't know at this moment whether to quit altogether 'cos I'm fed up with the pain and hassle. I fitted a yellowy pearl pickguard to it and the buyer can have that or the original white one. There is no case with it, just a gigbag. It weighs 9.1 lbs, and has the S1 switch too. Price is posted. 24.75" scale? isn't that 10" shorter than a P bass? Or am I reading it wrong?
