1. Thanks Byo, they are both excellent.
2.
Sorry, I can't really answer that as there are so many variables. What I would say is I usually drive it off the P pup, and it sounds like a smooth P with tone rolled off. There is a link to a GAK demo in the 1st post. I also came across this review by our very own Geofio https://www.youtube....h?v=1Zbgr7KB6wM
That youtub one is my very bass bought it off George. Mine is common? cheeky slut at least mine is mint
3. I actually have the CAR one, I'm a lucky boi.
4. Fairly slim on these post 2012 models Mike, very easy to play even with my small hands.
5. Thanks Alex & Marc, Marc, you know only too well Temptation and boredom are a bad mix, these basses are all you'd ever want in any P bass, so what's wrong with me,? I'll tell you what's wrong, I'm retired but still playing and I've fallen under the influence of one 'Karlfer'
6. Well it's that time again. I think I have what I want and then I haven't This is my best P bass It has SD-SPB-2 pickups which are awesome, and has a KiOgon loom specially fitted with a silent kill switch and easy change connectors. Pearl pickguard, with a slighty yellow tint. Weight is: 8.8 lbs sounds superb and in mint condition and fitted with chrome covers. The price is delivered to mainland UK EDIT*** I took the bridge cover off to clean everywhere and discovered a small crease caused by the rough edge of the cover. I'm mortified as I take so much care of my stuff so here is a pic of it. It can't be seen when the cover is on but it's there. I have reduced the price to reflect this and I'm now asking a very reasonable £430 delivered.
