3.
Lasse Thernøe,the fella in charge of the HB guitars and basses hinted it was thought of at a drunken party.
Similar thing with the James Nellist stagg acoustic guitar, the rep told me he was an accountant for stagg.
4.
Just when you think you have a hold on yourself and are happy with the gear you have. This is serious temptation. GLWTS and please sell quickly
you ain't just whistlin' Dixie... temptation indeed
5. Can't put it down, like thebrig I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole after buying a blood red one off here. It felt awful to me so I quickly moved it on. This one is completely different, very light and feels characterful if you get what I mean. I'm going to be selling my P's and jazzes now.
6. I never thought I'd ever say this but today I bought a R.....nb....r 4003S, the walnut one with the maple board and dots. It was new in Feb this year and for sale due to bad health problems. Can I post pics of it? It appeared briefly for sale here yesterday, just long enough to get the details and it wasn't far from me and so I bought it. Fit and finish are flawless, it hangs well and isn't heavy. The range of tones is amazing, I'm totally converted. Never seen a maple board on a R...y before. wow etc' edit: the ban seems to say no selling so here goes:
7. Gold scratchplate hmmmm.... I might do that on my new one. It is sold too!
8. I used to sell them in my shop, well made and they came from China. Don't know a lot more than that except Burns were heavy.
9.
I'm looking at Austin Metros and Maestros, Morris Itals and Marinas etc on eBay, some things just can't be explained!
I'm heavily into classic cars with my 1962 Anglia so there is nothing wrong with you Pete, the choice however....
10. We never have the problem, not many drunk people at a Methodist Church on a Sunday Morning
11. Oh the amps are way better.
12.
1. He was online 10 mins before I posted, viewing "Basses for sale". 2. It's only 19 months since the last comment, don't exaggerate
Hahahaha
13. KARL!! I've just read all through this getting excited to find it's nearly 2 years old, send a PM matey.
14. I have the same problem, I wanted a blue/maple P and so I bought a new one and it's fabulous, then I saw a red/maple on here for sale and I coveted it, now it's with me and I'm happy. I have a lovely candy orange/ maple Jazz which is fantastic BUT I saw the Antigua up for sale recently and I thought wow that'll be a great backup Jazz, so I now have it It's getting stupid. I still look at basses for sale even though I don't need any. Beware when you retire guys, too much time on your hands and too many temptations on places like this, I'm now gas free..... unless I see something I can't live without.
15. Yes. I bought one and sent it back the next day, pickup was quite strong with plenty of power and it was light so lovely..... not. I couldn't get on with the neck and it just felt cheap so bye bye.
16. I've just got the HT-1r rodeo version with the bigger cab and it's perfect for me, clean and dirty without 75000 combinations of effects. expensive at £294 but well worth it. made up.
17. Cheers for the links, it seems as though it's good value. Been offered a Korean fender tele for 500 shimblats, didn't know they made them there, 85 - 92 model...
18.
You only have money tom as you keep making me spend my pocket money
Ah, you've seen my latest offering then?
19. Thanks for the comments folks, I use Auto Glym Super Resin polish, works well innit?
20. Paul, have you had your medication yet? thought not. go and lie down in a darkened room, you'll soon feel better. I on the other hand still have money in the bank so I obviously need more basses
