1. Our John (Kiogon) made this for me: Your sub wiring is MusicMan Passive, 2 volumes + tone, CTS Premium 250K Audio Log pots .047uF cap. with a "Jimmy Lloyd Rea signature 4 string MM bassbucker" from Warman. MM 4 string bass humbucker 13.2k 4 wire overwound pick up It now sounds absolutely great now. I'll have to sell it though as it's too heavy these days.
That looks t'riffic! Well done. Any particular reason why you wanted to change out the P-pup? Much as I love my P-Lyte, I've always felt the pick-ups let it down ever so slightly.
Hi Simon, I don't use the j pickup so there was no point changing it. The P pickup as you say, is lacking, it just felt very thin to me and the SPB-1 provides some real kickass thump. I now have the best of all worlds, light as anything, some real poke and tone and killer looks. /sorted! Only trouble is I'd like a spare one, you know, just in case........

Thanks, the credit goes to Jon Shuker, he is a genius and in future if I see a bass I really like with a rosewood board I can now buy it and have it converted!
4.
I believe that is French for PM, which for the Guisborough amongst us, is private message. At that price, few words are needed. Are you needing Hattie again Tom
It's getting near that time

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, I have to admit that I opened the case and just looked at it for a few minutes. Jon did roll the edges and it sports a bone nut too. It looked very dull with the rosewood but it looks amazing with maple. Such an easy neck to get around too.

Well today I received my much modified Precision Lyte back. It's been to Jon Shuker's for a holiday and to have the board refaced with a maple one. This is now quite unique as I don't think they were ever made with a maple board. I did this because I needed a light bass as some of you know and apart from the rosewood board it was just right for me. I also had an SD-SPB-1 pickup fitted while I was at it. The end result for me is fantastic, much easier to see the dots now and it looks amazing! I know some people will hate what I've had done and possibly think it's ruined now but I don't care, I have what I want. anyway a few pics of Jon's handiwork: cheers.
8. hahahahahahaha S'ok I've had my medicine now, (I'll keep the amps)
9. Oooh a challenge I will give you £347.52p for it and 2 acoustic amplifiers plus lots of guitar strings.
10. Today I bought Nick's Mystic blue American Precision, what a bass! absolutely fantastic condition and it's everything he said it was, great comms, friendly guy and a pleasure to deal with. Trade with confidence folks cheers, Tom.
11. I've just sent two basses that I had no packaging for, I went to the local bike shop for 2 bike boxes and made them fit. I'll have it if you'll make the effort.
12. Phew, thank the Lord for that, if you'd said 8lbs it would be on its way here now.
13. I bought this a short while ago because it weighs nothing but I can't get on with it so it's gotta go. The fit and finish on these is wonderful and the pickups have some real grunt too. I paid £159 for it but I'm throwing in a padded gigbag and a new set of Hofner strings still in the packaging plus free uk delivery. Can't say fairer than that. If no one wants it for that I'm happy to keep it. I have added another strap hanger at the neck bass for more options. pics:
