1. Ok thanks for the input guys. Turns out that the tv has a USB port cunningly labelled 'wiselink'?? Why couldn't they just label it USB? So the sound problem seems to be ok now I use an Imac as my main PC but I have a newish Samsung windoze laptop that lives in the music room, it does have a HDMI out on it so will this just connect to the tv with a HDMI cable? This would be good because I have a program that can alter youtube songs to the key we will play them in.... My mind's buzzing with possibilities now.
2. Must have done, the creative labs sound system is from 2001 and has a seperate amp and a big sub woofer. No usb's though.
3. Mainly audio, the added sound system on our tv negates the need for hifi. We can play cd's now but it's a waff on making them and as our cars use usb sticks for music now we want to do that with the TV as it's much more convenient.
4. Afternoon boys and girls, as I know you are all very intelligent I need some advice please. My 40" Samsung tv is about 7 years old and it cost a lot of money then and was feature packed but as we don't have or want a hifi in our lounge to play music I need a box or something with usb and mini jack to plug in and play music through the tv. I might add that the Creative labs 5.1 sound system on the tv is shatteringly loud and thumpy and is plenty adequate. So any suggestions please? Is there some sort of media player that might work in this way? Any suggestions much appreciated. Tom.
5. Until I retired I was a Freshman dealer and while the expensive ones were quite good and well made, the cheaper end of the market were a bit 'hard' sounding. You have to work hardto get a good tone imo so choose with care and make sure you try first.
6. Bought a loom from Paul, sent very quickly, great friendly communication. Basschat as it should be. Thanks for a good, hassle free deal mate. Tom.
7. From my experience you won't use it. I bought a P basss made by Legend (myself?) for about 40 quid, roughish body so I sprayed it red and coupled with the maple board it looks mighty fine and plays really really well. Sooo... I modded it with a new set of Fender tuners that I bought for a wet day, I also had a USA pickup and fitted that. With a Kiogon loom the bass is transformed and plays brilliantly with a low action, cannot fault it. I've never ever used it for anything so it sits there. I'm gonna put it up for sale 'cos it's just taking up space that another Squier that I won't use could fill. Go figure..
8.
Tim I think you need to start taking commissions for these jobs Mind, if discreet approaches, you may have to send it in a brown paper bag GLWTS, great job.
Trust you to lower the tone
9. That's a nice bass well put together.
10. Shaun is totally brilliant to deal with, he bought my 6 string guitar, paid very quickly and we had a good natter on the phone. Keep surfin' dude! thanks again, Tom.

12. As title, bought them recently, fitted them and they don't do it for me 'cos I don't play heavy music now. Come with boxes, screws and foam and plenty of wire. £65 posted.
