1. Karl...Karl... I hate to see this happening to a good friend... trouble is you have all these nice basses Agree about the maple board tho' if that helps? well maybe it won't
2. So, did you buy it then? I have a very nice Jazz in natural, maple........... nah not really.
3. What is the weight please?
4. Just buy a CV and an expensive amp with a few pedals, you'll never know the difference
5. Sorry but am I alone in thinking that modern fenders are for the most part excellent? Modern electronics and manufacturing technologies are surely better than then? Having tried both I think so.
6. I've dealt with Mark for several years now and have had some fantastic basses from him. Deal with confidence folks.
7. I tried one at Absolute music in Poole on holiday last year and was blown away with it. I'd have bought one if I had room in the car. In fact I will get one next week. (Why did you have to bring it up )
8. Just bought Mark's 77 VM Jazz, top man to deal with, fast, friendly & informative emails, kept me up to date every step of the way in true Basschat fashion I really am chuffed to bits with my new bass, it's so light and resonant with loads of grunt, perfect. Thanks very much Mark, I hope you're selling my next bass! Tom.
9. Yep, I now aboot 8 Precisions of varying types and I love all of them. They are all maple boards except one which is a 75 RI P/J with rosewood and blocks. Don't need all of them but..well.... ya know.....

*SOLD*

Sad to hear that Sean, someone grab this, it's a brilliant bass for silly money.
11. Second time we have dealt and again it was a pleasure! Great communicator, pleasant and friendly. Instant payment. Would happily trade with again. Take care Sean. Tom.
12. Yes. They can be heavy though.
13.
Thanks Lee. Looking at the 4th picture down, it looks like a big screwdriver mark, at the bridge end of the body. It isn't it's just some trick of the camera. The only marks on it are the Fender light relicing. Don't know if this is different on every bass? Feedback below. Ta.
Have to say Karl's photographic skills are akin to a dog playing the piano wearing gloves I'm almost tempted with this bass me old mate, BUT the neck's rosewood!

SOLD.

Yours does look like a great deal for someone.

SOLD.

Hi Andy, it's not for me thanks, lacks maple.
16. I'm REALLY glad they don't have maple boards I'd have to buy one if they did
17. I take the points made, I didn't express myself too well. I haven't paid more than £800 for anything but I'm careful what I buy and touch wood I can only gain on what I do have.
18. I do think that everyone rises to their own level of incompetence, and usually remains there.... I could be classed as a novice player, I play in a church band and have taught myself to play the basic notes and add runs here and there to make it flow better. Shocking really but it's all that's required. I'm 67 and have played 12 string guitar all my life which includes a pop group in the 60's. I now have arthritic fingers so the 12 string is hard to play. I do buy a few high end basses as investments, better than putting money in low earning interest schemes anywhere else. imo of course.
19. Dead right Steve, when I think of the crap fenders in the 60's when I got into guitars... oh hang on a minute
20. I have one too, it's perfect and not heavy. I was going to change the pickup and decided not to, no point. Well worth the money.
21. I have a VM Precision and it's faultless. I have fitted an SD SPB-1 and it's flippin' brilliant now. Low action, excellent finish and a window rattling sound. Why pay more? I also have the Squier 50's P. Fitted an SCPB-1 pickup to that and well....you can guess the rest.
22. Just bought a P bass from Glen, brilliant guy to deal with, excellent comms, found we had a lot in common and he drove all the way to mine to deliver it too. Trade with confidence folks, Glen is a true gent and a credit to basschat. Thanks again! Tom.
