1. Don't let the title fool ya - I'm a born and raised Englishman! For the first 26 years of my life I was living in deepest darkest Kent. Started out playing the bass as an eager 12 year old back in 1980 - my dad bought me a Hondo Rickenbacker copy with the immortal words "if you can learn to play that thing, then I'll buy you a better bass next year" and the rest is history... Starting playing in bands at age 16, and am still at it. In 1996 moved to Amsterdam, in 2006 moved to Warsaw. I've been lurking around on here for a while and finally got around to creating a profile for meself today. Yeah, I know, I'm a slacker A list of my equipment can be perused below...
 2.
Everything you ever wanted to know about JV Squiers: http://www.21frets.com/ The big Fender logo ones were the very first & the rarest - hope your mate looked after it! Jon.
Thanks for all the info, guys - much appreciated! Unfortunately it is in a bit of a state - it was resprayed black and the neck has way more 'mojo' than I would like, so it has been handed over to a luthier for refinishing and general tidying up.
 3. Calling all Fenderphiles... Anyone out there an expert on the Fender JV Squiers? I recently retrieved an old one I had lent to a friend about 20 years ago - it is one of the Precision models with the big Fender logo and the smaller Squier Series logo - it was sunburst with gold anodized scratchplate, so it was the '57 vintage model, right? All I know about these is that they were produced in the early 80s - can anyone here shed any more light on these basses? How many produced etc.? I am curious...
 4. Oops forgot to attach the pics.... DOH!
 5. Anyone fancy swapping a Bongo 5 (preferably black HH - I can't be doing with those lairy colours) for my transparent teal, black scratchplated, birdseye maple necked 1991 SR5?
 6.
Damn, thats a pretty good price, but what year is your cutlass? Is it from around 83 when a lot of them were made? Any chance you could pop the neck and take a photo of the heel? I'm really curious to find out what those numbers mean and whether there's any date order to them.
Hello fellow Cutlass owners, Just to add some more info: I own a Cutlass I which is dated as Sept 1983 on the heel of the neck - however it is a little different to yours... It is not 'string through body' and has a 4-bolt neck.
it's identical to your's with the 1 , what does that mean ?? what year ? do we have special cutlass's or what !!!! tell me mine's special !!!
The I is the 'StingRay' Cutlass, the II is the 'Sabre' Cutlass innit.
