1. Quite a while back I bought a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 from Macieq. Luckily for me I only live an hour's drive away from his place. Buy with confidence from him: he's a friendly, helpful guy who really knows his gear.
2. Nope, don't have a feedback thread as yet... Feel free to start one for me, if you want.
3. Hi Synth, I'm glad to have been of service and I'm really glad you like the bass! It's a handsome beast, isn't it? Your young lady deserves at least a massive bunch of flowers if you ask me. The day my wife signs up to Basschat purely to enable her to buy a bass for me will no doubt be the day hell freezes over... Enjoy! Mat
4. As I own MMs, Fenders and a Rickenbacker (and love them all) that must make me one of the most fanatical militant Basschatters alive! Whereas in reality I'm a mild-mannered type of chap who usually feels somewhat embarrassed by the rantings of the uber-fans of each particular brand.
5. This fabulous bass is now SOLD!
6. OK, here goes... 1: 34 years 2: Yes, built-in tuner on Digitech BNX3 multifx unit. 3: Both 4: Ask another musician to give me a G note, then tune the other strings using harmonics on 5th and 7th frets. 5: Yes 6: N/A 7: It can be a little oversensitive and can flicker between determining whether the string is in tune or slightly sharp or flat. 8: Yes 9: Using the electronic tuner, as it is silent and also illuminated which is great for tuning onstage.
7. No love for the Status Vintage P? C'mon guys, don't make me have to eBay it!
8. The mystery of the four knobs explained: 1: volume 2: active treble 3: active bass 4: passive tone
9. I've had a couple of nibbles, but nothing concrete yet... So, still available!
10. Shipping with TNT from Here to the UK will cost £60, so I'm willing to let the bass go for £860 all inclusive.
11. No hassles with Mart, a pleasure to deal with. Cheers, mate. Mat
12. Nice bass. Have a free bump from a fellow Aria admirer!
13. Thanks for the positive comments guys! @ash: Sorry, but really need to sell this. Good luck with your sale though.
14. **** NOW SOLD**** Up for grabs is my Status Vintage P 4-string bass. A great instrument: the big warm sound of a vintage Fender Precision or Telebass but with 21st century construction, graphite neck, and additional 18v active circuitry. The neck profile is very 'P bass', similar to my old JV '57, Precision width yet flat profile. This bass is capable of a pretty wide spectrum of sounds, due to the fact that you can run it in either true passive mode for a lovely vintage tone, or flick in the active for a more modern variety of tones. Bass and treble cut/boost are massive with the Status 18v preamp, so you can dial in plenty of earthquake bass and trebly zing too! The bass is in pretty much perfect condition with only very minor surface scratches on the rear of the body. The Status/Hiscox Liteflite hard case is included in the price. Official specs from Status are as follows: Book-matched alder facing. Semi-acoustic alder 2-piece body with F hole. High gloss black lacquer. 4-string woven graphite P-profile neck. Dual-action truss rod. 34" scale (864mm) fingerboard. Phenolic fingerboard with 20 frets. Front dot markers. Black/white/black pick guard. Chrome hardware. One-piece bridge unit. 19mm string spacing. 1x Status hum-cancelling pickup. Status 2 band EQ. Master volume, true passive sound control. Active/true passive switch. 18 volt power supply. Will be sorry to see this bass go as it is a pleasure to play and always gets a lot of attention and positive comments on both looks and sound, but I need to cull the herd.... Therefore, sale only, no trades I'm afraid. I'm happy to ship anywhere, and will only ship with a reputable, trackable courier company. Thanks for looking! 15.
Let me know when you plan to learn driving on the right ... I enjoy a bit of street theatre.
Wow, just realised I can do that! In fact I can even drive a RHD car on the left and a LHD car on the right!! I am ambidrivestrous!!!!!!!!!!!!
16. I would recommend the TC Helicon VoiceLive Play. It's pretty simple to operate and has a great range of effects built in. It ships with about 200 odd presets, and more can be downloaded from the TC Helicon website. And then you can start fiddling about and creating your own patches... http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicelive-play/

18. Check out my mate Larry's gear... Old school synths galore!
19.
At the risk of being pelted with rotten tomatoes, I think Mick's TB sounded better than the Wal
I concur! Bass sound on "Live at Hammersmith Odeon" with the TB is far superior to the "Oil On Canvas" with the Wal.
20.
Best bass in the world. I got one too, same colour, year(s) etc.
Snap! Me too
21. I'd just like to say that I've met and bought from Macieq in the past and he is a great guy who can be trusted 100%. Deal with confidence, Basschatters!

23. And hopefully it won't mostly read "I was on drugs, then I quit, then I was on drugs, then I quit, then I was on drugs, then I quit..."
