1. Bump for a great amp in great condition 😉
2.
Wow that would suit me perfectly but to raise a bag of sand this side of Xmas I'd need to pimp out the Mrs and I doubt she would have the required enthusiasm...GLWTS mate
😂
3. ## Now withdrawn ## After all you can never have too many amps and this is a classic that i'd never be able to replace for the same price !!
4.
This is porn.
+1 to that
5. I can't believe this hasn't been snapped up 😳
6. Wet and windy afternoon bump !
7.
Some people have unimaginably tough lives.....
😂
8. I'd say get the Trace units serviced. You know and love the sound and I'm sure if you went for something else you'd miss them, I know I did. Whatever other amps I have tried have been nice for a change, but I still go back to the green stuff in the end!!
9. All pm's replied to. Please note that I will request payment of £150 from any newbie or user with no feedback. I will then pay the donation to BC and state on the forum once it has been paid. So just to clarify, you will not get this amp for £100 😡 Thanks
10. Saturday morning bump for a classic amp 😎
11.
These are great amps! ........ These will walk all over any Class D amp any day...
+1 to that
12. Photographs as promised, some of these taken at Saturday night's gig.
13. ## Please Note: This item is for sale at £100 plus a £50 donation to BassChat ## Please read the below thread for the background to this head: http://basschat.co.u...ass-gear-shops/ Basically, this amp was kindly given to me in 'spares or repair' condition on the basis that I made a donation of £50 to Basschat, (which I duly did) and that I pass it on in the same manner should I part with it in the future. It cost me approximately £100 to get the head repaired and the case refurbed. I also purchased a Roqsolid slip cover for further £30. Since then the amp has given me trouble free gigs and rehearsals with a big, powerful Trace sound with bags of power to spare. The only issue of note is that there is a buzz from the head (only audible at bedroom levels) that the repairer could not eradicate. This is obviously not an issue once at gigging/rehearsal levels. Everything else works as it should including the D.I. So there you go, the story behind a great head being brought back to life. I'm only passing this along now as I'm the very fortunate new owner of an AH600SMX I really don't want to post this head, so collection from South Yorkshire would be preferred although I may be able to meet up somewhere. Photographs to follow. Many thanks
14. Hi all Just to make all who followed this thread aware, I'm just about to list this head for sale on the forum. I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on an AH600SMX so it's time to pass this SMX on. As agreed, I will be listing it (with a link to this thread) for sale at £100 plus a £50 donation to BC. The £100 covers the cost of the repairs and the refurb but I will also throw in a Roqsolid slip cover (which cost a further £30). Many thanks
15. Just bought Tom's Trace AH600SMX. Great communication throughout and a great item exactly as described. Tom's yet another top fella from the BC community. Trade with confidence! Many thanks again.
16. Can't believe this hasn't gone yet. Great amp, amazing power and sound, ridiculously low price. Have a bump on me!
17. A snip! Cracking amp at a great price. GLWTS

20.
It was indeed a great bass, I had it for a while and played/sounded fantastic.
Feeling a lotta a love for it. Pestie said it had a good pedigree 😉 I'm happy as a pig in the proverbial !
21.
it did indeed matey, superb bass! Only sold as i got a '78 p... if it's still got flats on it yes it was me that put them on and they're labella 45-105 flats, superb strings imho and they do suit my perfect p bass sound you should be fine with those for a few years yet if you like 'em matey
Hmm.... Cheers for that, but the strings that are on now are roundwounds :-/ Perhaps I'll have a look at some la bellas though when the time comes as they're so highly recommended. Cheers
22.
woohoo! it's a superb bass matey
It certainly is. Did this used to be yours? If it did I'm just trying to find out what strings are on it as they suit it so well. I'd hate to change anything about it when it comes to string change time :-/
23.
Ahhh.... P basses are the benchmark of great basses in my mind. I've recently got the jazz bass bug, but i've got a couple of USA P basses from over the years which are still my main squeezes. They just sound, feel and look so right. Ironically, my P Bass sound by itself isn't anything astonishing, but turned up loud and slotting in with a band, its a really full, fat, commanding bass tone which is perfect for me. If you can't do it on a P bass, you're not doing it right...
Exactly !
24. Well I had a rehearsal last night with the black and maple American Std Precision I collected on Sunday from Pestie. What can I say............ An awesome bass, full, thick and powerful tone which sounds amazing through my GB Streamliner. The bass has an extremely low action but with absolutely no buzzes, it plays like a dream. Does exactly what I wanted it to, namely plug and play with instant classic tone. Very happy boy 😜
