1. Bought a beautiful Fender P from Mike (pestie) today. Bass was exactly as described (in fact, even better than described). Mike couldn't have been more honest or helpful. Lovely fella, great transaction, deal with complete confidence. Many thanks again 😊
2. Ooh that's rather nice
3. Now sold, please lock.
4. Mystery solved then! I do love this forum 😄 Many thanks everyone
5. Many thanks guys, that's just what I was after. The 'series' that I mentioned was prompted by one that's on fleabay at the moment (£600 in Notts). The tag on it says 'American series'. It has S1 switching. I wasn't sure if this is actually a different range or not.
6. Hi all Given my complete lack of knowledge of Fender's range now, could any of you guys advise me on the differences between the following: USA standard P USA series P USA Special P I apologise for my ignorance in advance! 😔 Cheers
7. Back to work midweek bump :-)
8. I thought this would have been snapped up straight away. I've just bought a 600 off here and I'm really pleased with it. Awesome sound! GLWTS
9.
...but today I do... ...for the very first time. [tries to grasp some air] Oh My Effin' Dzjeee.. This neck is mine! 10.
How about postage? Im in sunderland tyne and wear. Think someone is buying my gk 1001rb combo next week so i'll have funds Thanx
I'd prefer collection but postage is an option, although I've no idea on cost (it is a little weighty). Alternatively, we could sort out a meet up half way? Cheers
11. Just bought a GB Streamliner from Patch. Great item, great price, great comms and a top fella! Delivered promptly and very well packaged. Deal with confidence ;-) Many thanks
12. An absolute snip! GLWTS
13. I think it would be more than that, bearing in mind that these are Trace watts (these amps are extremely loud). I did use this head briefly with a Mark Bass 151std cab which I'm sure was 8 ohm. It was certainly plenty loud enough to keep up for a few classic rock gigs with plenty of headroom left.
14.
From the manual... Hope this helps; good luck with the sale.
Many thanks dad3353 !
15.
How many watts using an 8 ohm cab? Thanx
Erm, I don't know is the honest answer! If I could throw it open to the forum, there are members on here with far more TE knowledge than me??? Can anyone assist?
16.
I dont think anyone is a mug for liking anything, we like what we like.
This. Absolutely bang on!
17.
I feel the same. The ones I've played all felt very cheap and always disappointed, weight wise, tonally and aestheically. I've played sub £300 Epiphone basses that are built to a higher standard and have a better tone and that's saying something. They are a big company so will always have the fanboys who love them but I just don't get it. Saying all that, I like Fender. I imagine the guys who love Stingrays etc will think I'm a mug for liking Fender. Different strokes and all that jazz :-)
😳 Epiphones better build quality than a Stingray???? You must have tried some real dog 'rays. As a rule (and certainly in my experience) their build quality is far more consistent than a great number of manufacturers including Fendar and certainly Epiphone. As you say, some basses 'fit' players and others don't. That's ultimately what it comes down to.
18. Now on hold pending payment (after buyer returns from holiday) Cheers
19.
The inevitable 'what's the weight' question
Not entirely sure on the weight. It's an ash body and certainly weighs far more than a new US std Precision I tried in a shop the other day. To be fair I do prefer a bass with a bit of weight to it 😉
20.
Hi mate, are you interested in a Fender Precision Special FSR Deluxe? Is the active version. Let me know Cheers
Hi Afraid not, I'm looking for a bog standard American plug and play and it must have a Precision neck, not a jazz. Cheers
21. All pm's replied to. Sorry for the delay, getting 3G or wireless has been a bit of an issue up here in the windy highlands of Scotland!
22. Still available peeps. Go on, treat yourself to some green loveliness !!!
23. Many thanks for the kind words guys 😊
24.
