Not sure whether you'll kill it but just to be on the safe side I'd recommend getting a Truetone 1-Spot. I used one to power my B3 along with a couple of other pedals for several years. Cheap as chips and they handle up to 1700mA.

I’ve always found the 7250 strings to be pretty smooth compared to some other nickels, Ernie ball for example. They can feel a little sticky straight out of the pack, but after a few days they feel lovely and smooth.

Are they no longer doing a 4 string in the BTB range? I was quite fond of the older ones and would be very tempted if they did a 4 with the Nord pickups. ☹️

Take your pick - MkIV AH250, MkV AH250, MKV AH150, Series 6 AH300, GP12 SMX AH250. It would need to be a whole lot better. I’ve tried an awful lot of amps but I’ve always moved them on again and gone back to my Trace heads. Maybe it’s familiarity, maybe it’s sentimentality, but to me they just tick all my boxes.

I know but I really must resist. Got to sort a Status out first and if a used one doesn’t turn up soon, I’ll be needing to save all my pennies for ordering a nice shiny new one!

Best purchase? There have been several that I've been very impressed with - Stingray Special 4HH, BF Four10 and very recently the Helix HX Effects. There was also an old Status S2 which was great but has only prompted me to lust after a later version with a mid control and wraparound LEDs! Worst purchase was an old Ibanez MC924. Bought it from overseas and found there was a problem with one of the pickups. I instantly fell out of love with it, got the pickup fixed and sold it on. ☹️

Love Fender 7250 strings, usually I use 7250L (lights - 100/80/60/40). I was told that they are made by D'addario and the coloured ball ends and certainly the feel of the NYXL’s seem identical to me. I've just put a set back on my P and put the LaBella LT flats on my Stingray Special. The eq on the 'ray allows sufficient treble boost when required which I can't gain on the P without faffing with the EQ on the amp.

Ah ok. There’s a lot of information on Talkbass on Aria SB basses but it may take some trawling through. Congratulations though. A lovely pair!

@Al Krowbeat me to it. Every amp I've ever owned I've used both live and at home, including all my old Trace heads. I thought that's what the volume control was for.
