You wouldn’t happen to know how many 4HH’s they have in stock would you? I’m toying with the idea of a road trip/stop over this weekend 😁
-
Gorgeous. I was thinking earlier that the new colours are unfortunately making me overlook the ‘standard’ colours that have been perfectly acceptable to me for the last 10 years. 🤔 More pondering.........

I had one of the PDN Neptune Blue models a couple of years back. Stunning thing.
-
Yeah, I was thinking used. Although I know they’re pretty rare beasts too.
-
Hmm...... funny you should mention that. I was just thinking earlier that a 4HH Starry Night would make a rather lovely alternative 😁

I enquired about the lead time on a 4HH in Charcoal Sparkle today. Apparently Strings & Things quoted approximately 9 months 😮
-
It’s the waiting that I’m not too good at 😁

+1 to that. Those headstocks have become pretty iconic in their own right, plus you’ll spend the rest of your life having to explain how it started life 🙄

Ooh stop it now 😍😍😍. I don’t suppose anyone know what other colour HH models Anderton’s have in stock?

An Aqua or Charcoal Sparkle with an Ebony board I think would just about do it for me 😃
-
These do look rather lovely 😍. I’m on the look out for a used 4HH ‘Ray at the moment but these new models are giving me insane gas 🤪

I’ve had a couple. They really are great basses but both of mine sold for less than £400. I personally think £500 is a little too near to the £700/800 you can pick a full fat version up for. Although (as covered in some other threads) due to the recent huge price increases in new basses, I do see that the used prices of MM basses in particular seem to have also gone through the roof. Some sellers are asking for more than their basses cost when new.

Just sold a Berg cab to Paul. Agreed a meet up (I foolishly suggested the most awkward services on the A1)🙄. Great comms throughout and a thoroughly nice chap. Trade with confidence. Many thanks again

I’ve had similar experiences of people being really offended even though you’ve clearly laid out terms. I had a pair of pa speakers to sell a few years back. A guy contacted me and said he’d pay by a certain day so I put them on hold. That day came and he didn’t pay. He gave me some sob story about the money he was expecting not arriving in time and it would instead be arriving 2 days later. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him that the money had to be in my PayPal account by 6.00pm on said day, otherwise I would take them off hold. He agreed. Of course the money never arrived, so I took them off hold and promptly sold them to the next in line. What followed was an absolute torrent of email abuse from the guy. Even though he fully understood what I said I was going to do, he saw it as a huge injustice and called me everything from a pig to a dog. Hey ho, you live and learn.

For sale or possible trade Recently got this off the forum as a bit of a spur of the moment purchase. They don’t come up very often and I’d heard such great things about them. It really is a beast of a cab but for my now reduced gigging needs, this is a bit of an over indulgence. To be honest the modded 4x10 I purchased from Lozz is more than enough for my needs. The cab is in excellent condition and sounds immense. After having lots of 4H Stingrays (both 2 and 3 band) I’m loving the versatility of my 4HH Sterling. Built as well as any of the MM basses I’ve had and it sounds great. The only downside is that I think I may now want to discover the joys of a HH Stingray 😁. The below from the MM website pretty much sums up the main differences between the ‘Ray and the Sterling. http://blog.music-man.com/instruments/stingray-bass-vs-sterling-bass-comparison/
