  1. Haha 😂. Alas no, but if some gear was to shift really quickly 😜
  2. Snap. I find that I can sing and play better with a pick. Something to do with the detachment from the bass that seems to make it a bit easier. Different strokes eh!
  3. Sorry for the delay. No neck dive on this one, balances really well. I’m a frequent visitor to Nottingham (my home town). I’ll pm you.
  4. The nut itself is approx. 39mm but there is binding either side which takes the actual width of the neck to approx. 42mm. Weight wise I don’t really have the means to give an exact weight I’m afraid. Suffice to say that it’s not lightweight but nor is it a back breaker. It’s lighter than my Sandberg but about the same as my Squier Classic Vibe (if that’s any use whatsoever) 😁
  5. I need to practice using a pick. I’ve always used my fingers (Steve Harris was my first big influence when I started playing) but I do recognise that some songs sound great/better with a pick, due to the sound of the attack etc
  6. Sold a bridge to Matt. Super fast payment and great comms. Trade with confidence 👍
  7. Rock City? That was the same gig I was at 😁
  8. Ah, yes fair point. I forgot to mention that I usually also purchase a pair of chrome flat topped knobs to suit the solid shaft pots 😍
  9. Saw them supporting/dual headlining with The Levellers a couple of years back. I’m a bit of a Levellers fan but The Selecter blew them off stage with their energy and sound. Can’t recall what bass their player had but I know he was playing through a Genz Streamliner and a Barefaced 2x15. Great sound.
  10. I’d highly recommend a loom from Kiogon of this parish. I’ve had several from him and fitted them into various Squier P basses. Sometimes a bit of a squeeze but they’ve always fitted. The scratch plate holes have needed to be slightly larger, not every time or every hole but it has been required on occasion. CTS solid shaft pots, Switchcraft jack socket and solderless connection to your pickup. Simples 😁
  11. Lovely chrome Babicz 4 string bridge for sale, complete with fixing screws. £70 posted to mainland UK
  12. Another of my basses to go following recent P bass purchases. I had this up a couple of months back then had a change of heart, but I really have got to thin the herd now. This is a 1991 Made In Korea NS-2A. These basses appear to be very well regarded among Spector aficionados with their through neck construction and solid maple wings and are considered a quality alternative to a Euro LX. There are a few nicks on the bass but nothing nasty and it plays really well - instantly comfortable. You can see above the pick ups that that paint has worn from years of thumb placement! One of the tone pots is also very slightly bent. As usual, would prefer collection or meet up (I'm in South Yorkshire) but will ship to UK buyers only at the buyers expense. No trades thank you. Here's the link to the original ad (hope you don’t mind Maut):
  13. £650 New Price £600 - Topic Edited Please Read After recently purchasing more than my fair share of lovely P's with rosewood boards, it's time to let some of my other basses go. This is a beautiful Made In Japan 70's Reissue from I believe 2011. Olympic White Black/White/Black plate Maple board with black block inlays Fitted with Fender Custom Shop '62 pickup (original pickup also supplied) EDIT 18/06/18 Now fitted with the original pickup and a Kiogon solderless loom (CTS pots, Switchcraft jack socket) Original loom also included in the sale Please note that the top few photos show the CS pickup fitted. The original pickup covers now fitted are a matt finish but in equally good condition (shown in the bottom photographs) EDIT 24/06/18 I was asked to show the neck joint/socket. No issues or cracking here, it’s just that I was asked so here it is Also added a pic of the original pots/loom that is included. The bass looks stunning, plays beautifully and is in pretty much mint condition. There are some very light indentations around the bridge where a Babicz bridge had been fitted previously, but only noticeable if you squint, stand on one leg and hold the bass at a particular angle to the sun! Currently strung with Fender 7250L string’s but I do have a set of Fender flats I can put on if you prefer (mediums I believe). There is no case with this bass. Would prefer collection or meet up (I'm in South Yorkshire) but would be willing to ship UK only at buyers expense. I have a strong guitar box and it would be properly wrapped.

  16. Bought a p bass from Paddy. Item exactly as described and great communication throughout. Trade with confidence 👍 Many thanks
  17. I do think it’s always worth seeing the quality of the bands that you’re competing against. Although bands may be playing the same material, ultimately the landlord/landlady may decide that other bands do it better
  18. A very good question but yes, I would go to see our band. Currently Indie/rock covers but soon to be looking to broaden the range a little. Both with this and previous bands, I’ve often thought that I’d like to be sat having a beer on the other side of the fence.
