  1. I really can’t understand why these cabs aren’t being snapped up. They’re brilliant! GLWTS
  2. I hope this price is a typo 😮 https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/fender-squier-classic-vibe-60s-precision-bass-fiesta-red-tort-rosewood-board-gig-bag-pino-rare/1299278362?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_social
  3. Aha, that’s put that one to bed then. Many thanks for clarifying for a certified technophobe 👍
  4. The question was if the full power of an amp can be drawn into a 8ohm single cab, without the need for further cabs. Could for example a split cable be produced that uses both speaker outs at the amp end but with just one speakon at the other end?
  5. That’s that then 😂 I only ask as I have a clever cable made by OBBM of this parish that works the other way around - ie I can connect my head to two 4 ohm cabs, even though the min load for the amp should be 4 ohms
  6. I’m sure this may have been covered somewhere, but can you ‘trick’ an amp with a min load of 4 ohms into thinking it’s putting out to a 4 ohm speaker even if it’s actually an 8 ohm speaker?
  7. I didn’t realise that the lids would be deep enough to take the UV tube housing. Hey ho, every day’s a school day 😁 Might look out for a 3U case to have a play. Many thanks
  8. Couple of things with this. Firstly, an absolute bargain. Secondly, has anyone else done this with their 3U Trace UV heads I.e. put it in a rack case and left the tube in place? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183229915046
  9. I set my amp up to get the sound I want from the bass with the most ‘limited’ onboard EQ - my passive Fender P. Then if I do switch to an active bass I have plenty of adjustment to tweak it however required.
  10. My PM4 at Sunday afternoon’s gig 😎
  11. Yes, spotted this the other night 🤪
  12. Reminds me of my younger days in the Trent End 😆
  13. Exactly this. The band is still basically there to fill the voids between bingo games (and the last bus) at many places. I remember years ago my brother coming to see me play and almost being ejected from an ex-servicemen’s club for daring to raise his voice to barely audible levels between sets 🙄
  14. Welcome and enjoy. It’s a great place to be 😁
  15. Welcome to you and enjoy the ride 😁
  16. It is very sad news. A great shop with knowledgeable staff where you could get good, unbiased advice and purchase all sorts of new and used gear plus lessons and repairs/mods all in a great environment. I wish the owners and former staff all the very best for the future. I do fear for all independent shops like Electro. Soon all we’ll be left with will be huge sterile showrooms, each carrying massive stocks of the same narrow range of products. 😥
  17. Just purchased an MB200 from Chris. He had a few courier issues but kept me posted with great communication throughout. Item arrived expertly packed. Trade with confidence
