    Another happy buyer here 😁 Bought a large, old, heavy but oh so perfectly formed MkIV Trace Elliot AH250 from Loz. A wonderful piece of kit/bass history and possibly most silent running amp I’ve ever owned. Not bad for 30 + years old. Great communication throughout and a highly recommended BCer.     Can you imagine the weight of that beast? Back to the combo discussion, I used to switch between head/cab and combo. My SMX head and (various) cabs or a 1215 SMX combo when I needed a quick switch. Oodles of power but alas, carrying up and down stairs could be a bit of sweat, especially with the 2x10 models.

    Bass ➡️ Zoom B3 ➡️ Trace Head ➡️ Berg cab There are a couple of tunes that require specific effects. 95% of the time I play clean, just using the tuner on the B3.

    I understand the level control to be for when you want (or don’t want) a different volume level when switching between the graphic and a preshape. I don’t hugely boost or cut the graphic, so just leave the level on full and the output volume remains the same on graphic or pre. I could of course be completely wrong........
