  2. I think I just felt it ....................
  3. Cracking job on a beast of an amp. Any efforts to keep these great amps alive and kicking should be highly commended 👍
  4. My Vintage brand ‘Ray clone (old v96?) is fitted with a Wilkinson pickup. It sounded pretty poo until I changed the preamp, then it had more oomph than my original MM Stingrays. The pickup itself was great
  5. Welcome to the party Jamie 👍
  6. Old Marshall Bass 15 watt. Haven’t touched a dial for about 6 years - sounds great every time.
  7. I had one of these in 3 TSB with a rosewood board. Absolutely gorgeous 👍
  8. Thought I’d share my bit of Surf Green joy on this wet and miserable Monday 😁. Saw this on a well known auction site and fell in love at first sight but unfortunately the seller was miles away. Now I like a drive as much as the next gas head, but this would have been about 4 hours each way. Step forward the extremely helpful seller (the original and only owner) who offered to meet me halfway. Met him at the weekend and I’m certainly not disappointed with the bass, it really is in unmarked condition. A 2006 model according to the Sandberg website, the bass came with the original gig bag, tag showing the woods and serial number, Allen keys and even a spare pre-amp (apparently this was a sweetener to the owner as the original delivery from Sandberg was delayed for some reason). It’s a weighty beast but that’s good for me as I do like to know I’m wearing something when I play it. I’d say it’s a similar weight to the poplar or ash Stingrays I’ve had previously. Plays beautifully and has a great range of powerful tones. I’m loving the split coil in both active and passive, but I’m also pleasantly surprised by the tone with both pickups on together. Very punchy sound with added oomph! All in all the first impressions of my first sandy are very good indeed 😁
  9. 😂 words cannot describe.......
  10. Collected it yesterday from the very nice seller but haven’t had chance to have proper play yet (will post NBD thread once I have) but you’re right, thankfully it’s not what I’d call lightweight - I do like to have a bit of weight to my basses 🏋️‍♀️
  11. Still my ‘go to’ amp - and I’ve tried lots 😁 GLWTS
  12. Yes. I hope it’s as good as I’ve heard
  13. Already mine (well, collecting at the weekend)
  14. Are you sure this isn’t a knitting machine?
  15. 😮 another lovely bass but this time not a million miles away !!!!!
  16. It’s here too, I wish I was nearer 😟 https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/sandberg-california-pm-bass-guitar/1291056805?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_social

  18. I feel/look so uncomfortable trying to move about or look like I’m enjoying myself. Plus I’m blessed with a resting b*%#€ face so I look like “I’m ready to hit somebody at any given moment” (actual comment from a former band mate’s family) 😟
  19. I could and indeed have on occasion used Squier basses for gigs. My VM P Bass is the back up I take to most gigs. I usually choose to use one of my other basses, but there’s no real reason for that other than thinking I might as well. If I’m playing somewhere where I’m particularly concerned about security etc, I certainly wouldn’t have any reason to hesitate about playing it.
  20. Ooh if this was a P 😮
  21. Sold a TecAmp Puma to Udo. Prompt payment and great communication throughout. Trade with confidence. Many thanks Enjoy
