1.
Ok. Does a Shaftesbury Duo Fuzz (original) appeal at all?
Pm'd Still available with price drop to a crazy £700
 2.
Very interested. Would you be interested in this? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/291269-fender-modded-pawn-shop-bass-vi-price-drop/page__p__3142847__hl__bass%20vi__fromsearch__1#entry3142847
Not my thing I'm afraid Twickerman, but thanks for the interest. Still available
 3. Monday bump! There are several amps currently on here that are on my bucket list to try 😍
 4.
Fantastic amps - I used to have the Twin-valve which gave me the most organic-sounding fretless tone I've ever had. Technically not totally all-valve as I think the EQ section is solid-state, but that's just being pedantic Fabulous looking beasties too
Hey, no problem. Everyday's a school day 😉
 5. ## Price Drop: £700 ## Hi all I haven't had this head too long and gorgeous though it is, it unfortunately isn't for me

1993 Trace Hexavalve
380w (2 or 4 ohms)
Housed in a 3U SKB case
It's weighty, but in it's rack case guise it's not as weighty as some and very manageable
In the last year the amp has been serviced and had new Ruby Kt88 tubes fitted along with JJ preamp tubes. It's in great condition, sounds beastly and everything works as it should, the switches, lights, sliders, D.I. etc. I really don't want to ship this as I'd hate anything horrible to happen to it. However, I am willing to travel up to a couple of hours to meet up (I'm in South Yorkshire). Ideally I'm after a sale, but I may be open to trades for something interesting amp wise plus cash my way. I'd like to say I'm o.k. for basses but we all say that don't we [s]Apologies for the pics not being the best quality[/s] New pics added of the front and back
 6. Purchased a stunning 70's Reissue Precision from JazzmanB. Deposit was paid then a pre-holiday meet up/handover arranged. Hassle free deal 😀 Many thanks
 7. Jon is an absolute magician. I took my black and maple stingray with a 'sticky' neck to him and he brought it back to life with a tinted gloss lacquered finish which is absolutely flawless. At some point in the future I'd love to order a P bass, possibly a JJ 😍
 8. The one that went on eBay recently for £600 was very local to me. I even inadvertently ended up chatting to the seller in a local music shop the day before the auction finished. I would have snapped it up were it not for the Hammers badge. Why oh why did they not just put a transfer on it that could be easily removed??? 😡
 9.
Purple Ray, Purple Ray... (I'll get my coat)
😂
 10. Text book transaction with Karl. A sale was agreed, meet up arrangements were made and stuck to. A straightforward deal done as it should. Trade with confidence, a top fella. All the best Karl Regards Dan
 11. Yes the bass went on hold last night (10th September) pending drop off/payment Thursday 15th
 12.
Meatloaf...the artist formally known as mince
😂
 13. Hi all I recently purchased this from Kevsy71 and beautiful though it is, the neck is a little too 'shallow' for me (I prefer a chunkier neck, such as on my Steve Harris sig). So, it's for sale at the price I paid for it and includes the additional goodies that came with it i.e.the original pickup, chrome pickup and bridge covers and thumb rest/pull. Here are the key points from the original ad detailing the mods etc: More pics here: https://www.flickr.c...th/27653357453/ Spec Fender Classic 50s Precision in Fiesta Red, i.e. one of these https://www.gak.co.u...iesta-red/20345
Body: Alder

Neck: 1-Piece Maple, "C" Shape, (Gloss Urethane Finish)

Fingerboard: Maple, 7.25" Radius (184 mm)

No. of Frets: 20 Vintage Style Frets

Pickups: 1 Precision Bass Split Single-Coil Pickup (Mid)

Controls: Volume, Tone

Pickup Switching: None

Bridge: American Vintage Precision®/Jazz® Bass

Machine Heads: Vintage Style Reverse Tuning Machines

Hardware: Nickel/Chrome

Pickguard : Gold Anodized Aluminum

Scale Length: 34" (863.6 mm)

Width at Nut: 1.750" (44.5 mm)

Unique Features: Vintage Styling, Anodized Aluminum Pickguard, Synthetic Bone Nut Gauges: (.045, .065, .080, .100)
History and mods I bought this from eBay about a month ago. The stock pickpups are included with the sale, however I have fitted Fender 'Original Vintage pbass' pickups which have a fantastic full range to them: http://www.thomann.d...bass_pickup.htm . At the same time I swapped the rather flimsy stock pots for Fender CTS pots, and replaced the 0.1uF cap for a 0.047uF, as I found the tone rolled fully off with 0.1 to be too muddy. Rolled off now it gives thump without the mud. I redid all the pickguard screws with a Fender set, as some of them had a spot of rust/wear. Finally I added a Fender bridge ashtray/pickup cover, and a non-Fender maple thumbrest which complements the neck nicely. [s]Strung with Fender Nickel roundwounds 7150M .045 .105 [/s] ## Now strung with a new set of 7250ML strings ## [s]Note: no hardcase, but I will include a basic Ritter softcase.[/s] Condition See photos for a couple of body dings, also the ding on the edge of fretboard halfway between nut and first fret on G side (this is very tiny) ## There are also some marks at the back of the body at the chamfer as shown on the photographs. These were not noted in the original ad but are minor ## Sounds Full working order, sounds and plays beautifully. The new pots and pups really give a lovely range from grind to thump. The neck on these is very playable, don't be put off by the width! This really is a gorgeous looking and sounding bass, but I just can't live with a skinny neck! Ideally looking for a sale with collection/meet up preferable (I'm in South Yorkshire). Possibly interested in a trade for a nice P with a fatter neck.
 14. [s]On hold............ possibly???? Received a pm yesterday from somebody saying they wanted it, haven't heard a thing since. There must be something in the water at the moment [/s] Not on hold..... and still available
 15.
'Arry is a god. If you're going to only listen to one Maiden album for the rest of your life (not that I suggest you do) then it'd have to be Live After Death - it's like a 'greatest hits' but with more background noise.
+ 1 to this. Steve Harris was my bass hero when I first started playing around '88 just as Seventh Son came out. Saw them for the first time that year at the NEC (as captured on the Maiden England DVD). Saw them on numerous occasions after that culminating with Download a couple of years ago when they played the Maiden England set again (give or take a couple of others thrown in). I was fortunate enough to meet him back stage and was like a tongue tied schoolboy. Also met Nicko and Dave Murray. All lovely guys. I finally got hold of a 2009 Blue Sparkle Steve Harris Signature P earlier this year and it's my go to bass. The feel of that chunky neck is marvellous. As others have said, if you're a newby to Mr Harris, Live After Death is the album to listen to 👍
 16. I wish I could get on with Jazz basses, this looks lovely 😟
 17.
Roll up people, this is a great deal for a stonking bass. I should know, I'm on my second after regretting selling my first one
Many thanks. It is a great bass but I'm just not playing it - I've had to admit that I have too many basses so one of them has got to go :-( All pms replied to re shipping. To confirm, I will now ship if buyer arranges courier i.e. I'll package the bass up, let you know the package size, approximate weight and collection address. Buyer arranges courier to satisfy his/her insurance requirements etc.
 18.
I wish someone would hurry up and buy this.
Me too !
 19. Sold a set of strings to Davie. Text book transaction, trade with confidence! Many thanks
