1. Set of used 0760m La Bella flats .052 .073 .095 .110 Acquired as part of a bundle of goodies in a recent bass purchase, these aren't my bag so I'm selling them on. They're cut for a precision and the silks are quite ragged. Not sure how old they are, they look pretty new but I'm not entirely sure. Cheers
  2. Can't believe this hasn't been snapped up. A 3 band Stingray in the best colour combination for a bargain price 😧

    Kevsy71

Bought a lovely Classic 50's P from Kev. Great communication throughout, the bass was delivered quickly, packaged expertly and was great value given the additional goodies that were thrown in. Trade with confidence, top fella! Thanks again.
  4.
the classic 'smiley face' graphic EQ. I never use that sort of EQ, as all the mids just disappear and those are what's important when it comes to hearing the note value of the bass in a live situation.
The smiley face is Pre-Shape 1. Pre-Shape 2 is a different sound altogether with none of 'scoop'.
  5. Very nice. I'd have it if I didn't already have the same 2003 version. GLWTS

  8. All pm's replied to. Still available. [s]May also be tempted by a nice Olympic White and rosewood [/s]
  9. ## Now £380 ## Hi all Well I've been singing the praises of these basses for a while on these pages but alas, I've recently gone back to basics with a new found love for all things 'P' so this beauty is going to have to go to make room. This bass really is in unmarked condition, plays like a dream with a lovely low action and sounds fat and thumping across the entire neck. Comes complete with the rarer than hens teeth original hard case and Epiphone leather strap. I'd love to be in the position to keep it, but I'm adhering to a strict 'one in, one out' regime [s]Trade wise I'd be looking for one of the following 4 strings, plus cash either way depending on the deal.[/s]

[s]Roger Waters P[/s]
[s]MIJ Fender P[/s]
[s]2013 onwards MIM Fender P[/s]
[s]Vintage Tony Butler Signature P (for pimping up)[/s]
[s]An already pimped P (Squier, Tokai etc)[/s]
[s]Any other 'interesting' P basses - no Jazzes or slim necks thanks[/s]
New photos now added Collection or meet up only I'm afraid, I'm in South Yorkshire but quite willing to travel for a shady services type handover
  10. I'd recommend getting your hands on one of the 'smaller' Trace heads such as a 250 SMX. All the bells and whistles of the 350 etc (other than the UV light) but in a smaller, lighter package. I've paired mine with various Barefaced cabs and it always sounded great. Finally settled on a Super 12 - it sounds immense.
  11.
I have no idea how much mine would have cost, if I hadn't been Jon Shuker's rent boy for 3 years.
😂😂😂😂
  12. As I previously stated, there is no accessible 'back' of the ferrules as they are flush with the wood I.e. the diameter of the hole in the back of the headstock is equal to the internal diameter of the ferrules - they are flush! Anyhoo, panic over as the perceived slack when offering the new Wilkinson tuners up into the existing ferrules wasn't as bad as I first thought. Fitted them and played with the bass tonight and they worked a treat, nice and smooth and precise. Cheers all
  13. The problem is the ferrule is flush with the wood I.e. the outer peg hole has been rebated to take the ferrule. Therefore the ferrule doesn't protrude so there's no visible edge to knock on to.
  14. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on the best method of removing stubborn machine head ferrules? I'm in the process of changing mine on my Fender P and they really don't want to budge 😡. The new Wilkinson tuners that I'm fitting are a little too slack to use with the original ferrules.
  15.
Yeh I'm happy to buy second hand, I know I'll get more for my money that way. I hopefully will find something I can try out before buying, but that's not a necessity (?) Never even seen a Burman other than on here, but I'd take a look for sure! Yeh I did think about the Ashdowns. Any other Barefaced with valve users out there?
BF Super 12 and Trace Hexavalve user here. The sound is all I've ever wished for, oodles of power and rich tones. I do ocassionaly use one of my 250 SMX heads instead, but the BF is a constant. To be fair the SMX also sounds great but I am a little biased :-)
