1. Just bought a lovely Stingray from Neil. Extremely thorough description of the bass, noting the slightest imperfection. Met me halfway for a tryout and a chat. The bass is great and communications throughout were top notch! Trade with confidence. Many thanks again Neil
2.
The 1153T is a great cab... actually incredible if you consider it's a 1way cab. Goes up, goes loud and doesn't weigh too much. Good luck with the sale!
This is a great cab. Nearly the weekend type Bump!
3. Bought a lovely Barefaced Super 15 from Jim. Great communication throughout and couldn't have been more helpful, meeting me some distance from his home for a services handover. Great item in great condition, exactly as described. Top fella, trade with confidence 👍 Thanks again Jim
4. Bump for some lovely classic green kit ! ## 2 x 10 now sold ## 1 x 15 still available
5. ## 2103H now sold ## £110 for the 1153 1x15 Green 'rat fur' covered with a great punchy sound and in great condition. 1153 (1x15) [s]2103H (2x10 with horn) [/s] now sold 8 ohm 200 watts Fitted castors XLR and 1/4" jack connections Can be stacked vertically or horizontally. [s]£220 for both cabs or will split at, yes you've guessed it[/s], £110 each. I'm based in South Yorkshire but am quite willing to participate in a shady motorway services meet up Quick pics below from last night's gig shown in use with my AH250SMX head. More to follow :-) Cheers
6. Richard Hawley last Sunday at Leeds o2 academy. Absolutely awesome, as he was when I saw him at Sheffield City Hall last time out. The sound was fantastic, well crafted songs and Richard's voice and playing was faultless. Colin Elliot on bass was absolutely solid, great playing, nothing flashy but all beautifully played. I'd recommend anybody to try and catch him on this current tour. You won't be disappointed 😉
7. I have one. It switches the pre shape and the graphic on and off, but it doesn't switch between pre shapes 1 and 2 unfortunately
8. Big trace fan here and any SMX head you can find would get my vote. I had a 600 and a 350, but I've settled on the 250 version (well 2 of them plus the 1x15 combo version). I mainly play a Stingray usually through pre-shape 2 and I defy anybody to need more power than the 250 gives. Absolutely all you could ever need from an amp. The price? Well I'd say it's well worth £500 but you will find that rig cheaper if you're willing to wait for them to come up on these hallowed pages and don't mind travelling a bit. 👍
9. Ooohhh this is tempting. I had a super 12 and always fancied a 15 but wouldn't have been able to fit one in my boot. But I'm getting a new car on Wednesday............😏
10. Musicman has to be up there. I've had many Stingrays, both new and previously owned and the quality of fit and finish has been fantastic throughout them all 👍
11. Bump for a beast of a bargain! GLWTS
12.
I've used Trace stuff for 20 years now, I think you'd be fine with this for medium sized gigs, especially if you add a second cab. With two cabs you're getting the full benefit of the 250 watts (into 4 ohms) and don't forget, these are Trace watts. These older British made models were always underrated watts wise ;-)
+1 I've never, ever had mine past 10 o'clock so unless you're playing absolutely vast venues without going through a PA, a 250watt Trace would be more than ample.
13. Awesome amp at a crazy price. How has this not sold yet??? 😧
14.
I also find that quite often it's easier to sing if I play with a plectrum - I've no idea why.
Same here for some reason. In our band I sing bv's only and I always play with my fingers. However, I do enjoy singing and used to share lead vocals in my old band (and we still do the occasional gig). However, when I am singing lead and playing with my fingers, on some songs I feel almost too 'attached' to the bass and playing with a pick seems to help separate my Vox from the bass lines. A bit weird really!
15. Oooh, that's enough to make me do something silly. Absolutely gorgeous 😍
16. Just bought a VT bass pedal from Theo. Great communication, great item and well wrapped. Trade with confidence. Top fella :-) Many thanks again.
